When you let go of everything, you have nothing. To have nothing essentially allows you to be open to everything. Religion stifles minds and controls the masses. This illusion of Creation has been thwarted for centuries. Our lives were not meant to be based on simply right/wrong. These ways are all based on perception. Live one way you get rewarded, live another way you get punished...those concepts limit our consciousness and doesn't allow us to use our gift of creating. We are Creators. Religion is limited while spirituality is boundless. We must understand the ties the bind us all. We all are one. You and I have just made a connection by reading each other's post. We all need to 'build' and truly become an intricate part of Creation by creating and existing on a higher plane consciously.

I chose no religion long ago. Even as a child the few times I sat in church I knew the Pastor had it all wrong. What was being taught was not the true word of a deity. It was only the word of man. Man has ego and can't help himself in trying to control everyone.

You are right about religion. At least the theory..You can be RELIGIOUSLY drunk. All religion means is to do something in great passion, alot of..etc.
But if you mean system religious denominations. I think your on the right tract. That don't mean their isn't Christians in the systems but there are many that just go to church and think they can live anyway they want and go to heaven. Just for attending.
That my friend is LUKEWARM and God hates it.
So get the love out, be nice to all and help those that present them self to you for need.

I guess we will find out in the end won't we!? Some are for honor and some are for dishonor. You will spend an eternity with your God and those of us that there is a true God will spend our eternity with our God. My job is helping the sick in the hospitals and I have been doing this for over thirty two years and I have seen unbelievers come and go in the hospitals, nursing homes and even their homes. the fact is that I've seen many just like you that don't believe in no type of religion except the dark world. "But," when they was on their death bed they called on the name of "Jesus." When they cried out in pain they called on the name of Jesus. And I want to leave this with you. My God of all creations left us a reminder in scripture and this is what he said......... EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW AND EVERY TONGUE SHALL CONFESS THAT JESUS CHRIST IS LORD!
amen

I don't believe religion is the anti-Christ. Though there's a weird ironic or paradoxical twist in your assessment . . . . .
Anyway, religion does a lot of people good. I know a lot of people who make it through life because of their religion. My grandmother is one of them. I'm convinced her faith has kept her alive and quite spunky for a 70-something year old woman who has to go through chemo on a weekly basis. She's a wonderful woman, and without Christ, she would have given in years ago. I may not subscribe to her beliefs, but I thank her church for keeping her going.
Personally, I haven't eliminated religion. But I treat it like every other topic worth learning about.
And for the last part . . . I'm confused. Your questions scare me sometimes.

I was never really into religion to begin with. God knows me very well. I don't believe He gets involved with us here.
Prayer is meditation for me, I really never expect an answer. He has given me messages from time to time.

One of the reasons of religion is to approach or be closer to God. So by cutting of the religion its like say hear with your eyes and to help you by cutting your ears off.
Or like saying, Why don’t you cut off your legs, you might be able to walk better.
So you want us to abandon religions and come to your religion? you make no sense at all, go back and think again.

James, the half brother of Jesus described religion as such:
'Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world".
Religion to me, is about relationship with God through his son Jesus Christ by faith and in obedience to him.
To me,neither description is very intimidating or complicated.
