i have had dandruff from the can you believe the second grade. It has gotten better worst better over the years but never gone away. I have tried every dandruff shampoo prescription and non there is. I have done home remedies of thyme and water and hot oil to no oil. NOTHING makes it go away. Right now i use panteen relaxed and natural dandruff everyday and pentene oil moisturize this has calmed it down a lot and i don't have flakes the size of Texas anymore but i would like not to have to go through this or GOD forbid this discontinue that brand I up you know what creek with out a paddle.

i think its best to go to a dermatologist since you have excessive flakes in your hair

you may be suffering already from a medical condition like psoriasis, sebhhoric dermatitis most likely etc

short term solution - , massage in lots of hot oil cream or conditioner, place a cap and leave it overnight. wash hair the following day and shampoo as usual

I don't have this problem....I'm too busy having OTHER problems. However, my dad had dandruff and he used Listerine on his scalp. The dandruff moved out!

You might have a type of scalp eczema or seborreic dermatitus. Your doctor can prescribe a stronger shampoo that will be more effective.
