I have both a female and male German Shepherd I have bred them both once before and had no bother we worked out the dates and she had them when we expected her to.

This time we worked her dates out to be that she was due on the 29 June but there is still no signs of her having them yet.

She has been heavily licking herself for the past 3 to 4 days with heavy breathing and she is always walking around and not settelling anywhere.shes been feeling sorry for herself and her stomach is really hard.we saw a yellow kind of browny mark on her covers and we dont know if that is discharge. But we have noticed that she has been tensing her stomach up which she started doing today.

This dog has been in the early stages of labor...you need to be in contact with your vet NOW!!! From what you posted she could be in distress and you could end up loosing mom and pups..at the very least you need to alert your vet so they can be aprised of the situation in case an emergency c-section becomes warrented.

As for picking dates..the average is 63 days, however dogs can go anywhere from 57 - 67 days and on rare occassion longer up to 70 days.

I hope at this time she has safely had her pups and she and the pups are healthy. Please spay her after the pups are weaned and she is healthy.
The world does not need more GSD's, there are thousands of homeless ones, most of which are killed every year due to a lack of homes for them all.

Leave the breeding up to the few who are experts and know what they are doing.

contact your vet immediately and take her over, give her lots of water and keep her warm, she could be having problems in pushing and there could be a chance of miscarriage if not treated in time!
