No tax law would probably be considered "just" by everyone. It's way to complex the way it is, but is reasonably fair to most people.

Are you asking if you are a US citizen or resident and work abroad are you subject to US federal income tax? The answer would be only if the earnings exceed $80,000 and if you were abroad for at least 330 days out of the year.

they vary from country to country and some states here don't have sales or state income tax
