You should be aware that train tickets in China usually need to be booked several days in advance, especially if you want a sleeper ticket (as you probably would on the 10 hour trip from Beijing to Zhengzhou). If you're in a hurry to get to Zhengzhou I suggest you fly. Flying is often not much more expensive than the train and you can buy etickets before you get to China on sites like elong.net.

Jung Joe - with a slight inflexion of the jung to jeng - probably best to stick to Jung.

I am living and working in China and speak some Chinese.
Zhengzhou is actually the capital of Henan Province. Have a great time at your friend's wedding. It'll be different to a western one - I went to a friend's last year.

If you want to be linguistically correct. You're suppose to roll your tongue up for the 'zh' sound. Roll your tongue up and try to make a 'juh' sound. Overall, it sounds similar to jung joh. The 'oh' part would sound like the oh in "Oh, wow!"

like your 2nd answerer said, Jung Joe, with hard 'j' sound in both cases. the 'ung' sounds like 'young' but the 'j' is like the same 'j' in 'joe'.

hope that helps.
