ps i am not dumb my iq score is 140, i make my own model planes and tanks etc, i am good at most things and it's also not because of my result it's just a period when it started up

speaking from personal experience here matt. No one is good at everything. Intelligence is not really that important, it helps a lot, but determination, drive and the ability to believe you can do something is 80% of the battle.
Everyone has bad days. Everybody fails at things in life. What is important is that you get back up on your feet. The dreams, restlessness, and confidence issues are there because you know that you should have done better....in fact you feel guilty and crappy because you didn't live up to your own expectations.
What I suggest is to remember that one failure means nothing. It happened and you can't take it back or change it. Figure out what you can do to better next time so you succeed.
I know this is difficult, but as my mom always says " don't stress over things you can't change, just go out there and pick your next battle, and work to accomplish it"

1 Your parents don't hate you. They may be temporarily disappointed, but that's simply because they think so highly of you. [yes I'm aware that sounds like crap]
2 EVERYONE [including parents/siblings] has bad days!
3 It's up to you to feel good/bad about yourself. Don't let others feelings determine what you do in life. If YOU feel you did 'badly' then take the test again. Were your cores low by general standards, so simply YOUR standards. You are your hardest critic. Remember that, and cut yourself some slack!
4 One test will not determine the rest of your life. It may seem like it, but it's not true. If you work hard you can do anything you want. Look at the smart folks throughout history... at least nowadays being smart doesn't mean you'll be deemed a heretic!! Keep doing what you love, and hang the rest!
5 Know that throughout the world there are people just like you! People that try hard, and sometimes get so stressed out that they don't do their best. You aren't alone in feeling like this.
6 Braingle.com is my home away from home. Many very intellegent folks coming together to run amock doing brain teasers, mentalrobics, quizzes, etc. This is a community of people that are smarter than your average bear [anyone seen a pic-a-nic basket] that will welcome someone like you with open arms. You might try visiting!

sweetie, you may be struggling with some kind of mental thing than can be taken care of easily. Go to a psychiatrist, feel free to Dr. shop until you find one that really listens and gives you meds that really work. Take some of this med stuff into your own hands and use the computer to match your symptom with medication, that way you'll know a little when you meet your dr.
You may just be going through a phase, it could be something you can work out with talk therapy.
Anyway I know most of those symptoms can be easily treated.
At times having a high iq,, which yours seems abnormally high, this can, all by itself cause these symptoms. because you're quoting such a high number I'm suspicious you are playing a prank. But, because I care, no matter what, I have given you a serious answer. I have a very high IQ, but your # is awfully High. Are you playing with us????
Peace.

Most teens (your photo?) go through a period of difficulty. See http://www.coping.org/ and http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris on page 3: nightmares; the self confidence sites on page 2, and practise daily, and when needed, one of the relaxation methods. Study in bursts of 25 mins, with 5 min breaks. Review notes weekly, monthly, and before exams. Intelligence is not enough: study, memory skills, and application are necessary. Your parents and sister don't hate you, but may well be disappointed in you. Let this be your mantra, to motivate you: "Do you want fries with that?" Get it?

Most people on this website seem to be passing off your problem as simply "being a teenager". Here's my opinion. Talk to your doctor. Your IQ is very high which could have a lot to do with your self-confidence. Even the smartest people had self-esteem issues. Talk to your parents and sister, tell them what's going on. But most importantly talk to yoru doctor. It could be depression. I was diagnosed as clinically depressed about a year ago. I was prescribed Paxel. As much as I hated knowing that there was something wrong with me, it takes a stronger person to admit that and seek help and you seem like a very strong person. I'm a better person for going to the doctor. You should probably do the same. You seem like a great kid. Just make sure you take care of yourself and talk about your feelings with people. It will help! Good luck! <3

talk to a counselor. your IQ is extremely high, which could ultimately lead you to self destruction if it gets out of control. seek professional help on the starter level, and just work things out with them. maybe they can find the root of the problem. nothing is "wrong" with you, but i bet it feels like you are going insane. find a therapist through school or work, and start from there. good luck.

Sounds like performance anxiety.
You are normally confident, unless you have a lot of pressure to perform.
After the performance moment is past, do you feel a sense of relief?
Do you have supportive friends outside of family?
Anyone who can make you laugh, and cheer you on?
Help you to your feet, dust you off, to try again?
"Yaaay, Matt - Matt's our man - if anyone can do it - Matt sure can! :)

What's really going on? Are drugs a part of any of this? Please, don't be offended. I am 34 years old, mom two kids. Also a recovering drug addict. Sounds exactly like my life some days. Get to the root of it all. Prayer. Go to a quiet, private place, get down on both knees and let it all out. Ask God to help you. Tell him everything. He knows you from the inside out already. If you need to cry....scream...... let it all out!!!! It can be exhausting but YOU ARE WORTH IT!!!!!!!
Then ask Him to help you. ask for what you need. Take away my anger, take away my fear, take away my frustration............... and in Jesus name Amen I promise you this will work. I'll keep you in my prayers
