Why are women emotionally based?

Don't you see feelings are only feelings, it doesn't mean you should act on them or they're correct. If a woman in an abusive relationship is convinced her man loves her, do her feelings not betray her? And if here feelings can betray her, why can't your's betray you?
Furthermore, I see guys who play on this, teling women all the things they want to hear(oh, you're so beautiful, you're the only one); just toying with your emotions to manipulate you for sex. And they got 5 more just like you, but that's Ok, because you feel he really loves you? Yeah, right.
I'm very disappointed with the whole relationship lie of our society if you can't tell.

Well what a can of worms you have opened this morning :) Well i am a women and yes i agree with you that most women are just like you said. I often have wondered why women stay with men that beat them or abuse their children and she stays and stays and stays until he almost kills her! This is puzzlings to me. I think that most women get into the mind frame that when a man comes along this is who she wants to spend the rest of her life with. Instead of getting to know the true man. At the point of (you are so beautiful) instead of saying to herself this is my man why not say I need to look into this alittle close but keep the door way open another nicer man can walk through. I have read on here alot of young girls do the same thing. They find one and that is all she wrote. If more women stood back and looked at the relationship with open eyes there would be alot less divorce and alot less chidlren running around without their dad. There are alot of bad men in this world who move from one woman to another. And most do it in the open. I guess what i am trying to say is this At some point in the beginning of time Women where told your time is limited to get married and women rush. Being married and having children have to be done right away. The damsel in destress is my favortie. it works all the time. A woman who stands tall the bad men walk pass. She has a brain and is not afraid to use it. More women need to stand on their own to feet instead of standing on 4 feet!!!!!

I think women are created to naturally be the more nurturing gender. Women are the ones who give birth, spend a great deal of time raising children, and teach them to love and get along with others. They take care of the children's emotional needs. (When a child is hurt or sick, the first person s/he runs to is the mother.) All woman want a positive, nurturing relationship, as well (whether she is a mother or not). Therefore, if a woman meets someone, her natural instinct is to look for the best in that person. If that person turns out to be dishonest and hurts her, she hopefully will learn from her mistake and become more cautious of trusting men too easily. This lesson comes with time and maturity, however. Unfortunately, if she is disappointed too many times in life, she may become hardened, not trust anyone, and begin to think that "all men are dogs". The comedy movie, "Deliver Us From Eva", illustrates that very well.
