It will be self sufficient clean and easy. Great right well what do I do with it? I'd write it out but fear of it getting copied has stopped me.

one don't believe people who says its been done before two you can do what i've done with my ideas take your computer and unplug it from the internet and go to word type up your idea on word and print it out after you print it up take it to the bank and pay a dollar or so to get it notorized by a notary public in the bank and that will protect your idea from being stolen until you can patent it or copy right it which you need to contact a copy/patent attorney who does the work for you but it cost lots of money you could also try legalzoom.com i know they do copyright stuff cheaper. well good luck oh yeah after you do that stuff email me and i can tell you what you need to do after to produce it. good luck

Build a business plan to bring a finished product to market quickly and have three alternatives ready to go as well, anticipating there will be copycats so you can introduce improved models faster than they can copy them
Figure a maximum market life of three years then plan to move onto something else.
Patents these days are a waste of time if you have the money to do the project yourself, the only real reason for a patent is if you need to borrow the moey and the lender will want your patent as security, otherwise simply enforcing a patent unless you have a very deep pockets and a full time legal staff is a lost cause.
Also patents vary from state to state and country to country and you can be assured that once you product hits the public China will be the first to copy it and you will have to fall back on your business plan because China doesn't recognize patents.
A copyright and a trade dress copyright will give you more protection than a patent and they last longer on can be files for 10 to $15.00 by you.
Trade dress copyright is one that Apple computer has used very successfully in court in that if their product remotely looks like yours you have rights.
What you may also want to do is work with another established manufacturer and let them build and market it in exchange for a royalty fee.
As I have learned form experience, if you think you have a new idea, just Google it and you will find 100 others with the same idea, thing is, who is ready to run with it?
Just do it, lets face it, if it takes off you win, if it bombs you win, if someone steals the idea, you thought of this one surely you can come up with others!

If you eally have an idea, you need to get a patent on it.

If there really is a way to produce cheap alternative energy you are not the only one with the idea I can guarantee you that.

the first one to patent the idea is the one with the right to use the idea and get paid.

If you do not patent your idea and someone else does, you will lose the rights to your idea.

Also, in the process of patenting your idea you will find out whether it actually works or not.

Many people come up with ideas only to discover that the idea does not work or it is much more expensive than originally thought.

Right now the cheapest source of alternative energy is wind energy. The cost of production of electricity by the use of wind energy is approximately 4 cents per kilowatt hour.

This will give you a comparison to see if your idea is competitive economically. Your device should be able to provide energy to produce electricity at a cost of 4 cents per kilowatt hour or less to be competitive economically.

You can get a patent on it but that's no guarantee its going to go any farther then that. It takes allot of money to get get things started . Get a patent sell it to who ever buys it probably some oil company so they can suppress it but at least you will have a pocket full of money then tell a friend or friends your idea and let them tell the public and we can make our own . The guy that invented the digital watch made $500 while big company's that could afford to market them made millions . Sucks doesn't it . Good luck the men in black are probably watching you .Remember there's allot of rich oil sheiks that don't want change . Allot of people are mad because our government wants to invest in alternative energy i got a petition in the mail they wanted me to sign to stop it . Just be careful what you do .

I can almost promise you it's been done before. Why would you fear having it copied? If it's as great as you say it is then you are doing the world a dis-service by attempting to hold it for a profit. You'll be just like the oil companies.

Give us a hint. What chemicals, or mechanisms does it involve?

Get the stuff patented and then get it copyrighted. If it is a real solution, better hope the oil companies won't suddenly delete you URL!
