That's tough to have to take medication that hampers weightloss or triggers your body to gain. Watch what you eat and make sure you've eliminated (or nearly so) junk foods, sweets, fried/fatty foods, sugary sodas, alcohol, fast food, and anything that's basically empty calories with little or no nutritional value (all the "fun" stuff in other words...lol!)

Eat 4 - 6 small meals a day, see how you do with your calories around 1500 total a day. Lean meats, fruits and veggies, whole grain products, healthy fats, low fat dairy, and lots of water.

For exercise, shoot for at least 1 hour a day, at least 5 days a week. If you walk, go as fast as you can. If you can add in some jogging that'll burn more calories. Aerobics, bicycling, swimming, and dancing are also other great calorie burning activities (and there are many others).

Hang in there...it may be a slow process if you're having to fight the effects of the medication, but you can do it...and then keep up with the healthy eating and exercise when you reach your goal so you don't re-gain the weight.

Good luck!

Well I have A wieght problem, and nothing worked for me either. But my cousin who is A vegetarian, got me into it I went from 195 lb. to 150 lb. in about 4 months. I eat vegetarian foods like soy chicken strips, soy burger, and drink fruit smoothies, I also found that 100 calorie packs of cookies for breakfast or A snack helped. also when I eat I follow the serving size on the package. If I wanted Ice cream I would eat the seving size, and walk the calories off on the treadmill. I find counting calories helps more than anything else. I also tried and stay under 1,10 calories A day and I didn't stay hungry at all. I also find that lean cuisine, dmart ones and other diet foods like that helped they also filled me up. And buing Fat-free or lite labeld foods....

I would suggest a cleansing diet. I lost 12 pounds in 9 days and then 28 pounds in less than a month. I also lost a lot of inches too! I learned that cleansing will help the body get rid of impurities. Impurities come from a lot of things like fast food, pollution, food additives and preservatives and lots of other things. The impurities get stored in the fat in our body. To get rid of the fat, we have to get rid of the impurities by cleansing the body. This made sense to me and I decided to try a cleanse program and it worked. The weight came off fast and this kept me motivated to keep going, not like other diets where the weight loss it too slow. I did Jenny Craig, Weight Watcher and Medifast. If you want to learn more call the toll free number 1-877-587-4647 or check out the website. This was the first time I ever did a cleanse, it was easy and I feel better. Good luck whatever you decide to do! http://diet4cleansing.com

Certain drugs like steriods often used for neuro problems increase appetite and make one to eat much. The best approach now is to eat small meals even several times a day, and well fortified with vegetables and fibre - rich diets since they delay digestion. Also avoid eating heavily and eat well fours before you go to bed so that can burn some of the energy or else it will be stored hence your weight will go up.

1. Reduce your calories by 10% - 20 % , no more.
2. Walk or jog for 45 min in the morning (and afternoon?)
3. Drink plenty of water, not soda or juice. use less or no salt.
4. Cut out rice, starch, bread, potatoes, corn, diary for two weeks.
5. Eat 6 small meals a day with about 4 oz of chicken or fish, a romaine lettuce salad with no dressing, except a little vinegar or lemon juice, ... and plenty of veggies...
6. You can have a little fruit in the morning before noon.

You should begin to notice weight coming off in a week, and should be getting leaner in 6 weeks.

You need to do a lot more exercising. Walking is a decent start i guess but it is not going to trim 35 pounds. If you keep repeating the same exercise day in and day out your body gets used to it and it is not effective. You dont need a "diet chart" just dont eat things that are fattening. You know what they are. Think about joining a gym and hiring a personal trainer. He will be able to show you what to do to help you specifically.

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

You might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout as well.

Like you, I walked daily with no signs of weight loss.
Unlike you, I am not on medication, although my cholesterol and blood pressure was on the hign side.

It was until I made a change in my diet to low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein that my weight dropped another 8 kgs/ 18lbs. I am now 49kg, with good cholesterol and blood pressure levels.

Hello, friend
According to my biology teacher, she said walking is good for health, it is also a good exercise, but, it cannot let u slim down, but, it can let your muscles strong or bigger,so, a good plan is important, like running 1 hour , drink a lot of water, or drink a lot of low-fat milk, i had read a news, orange juice is more easy to get fat than milk, because of the calcium contained.
