The no crap answer is Yes. You can do anything you want to do but selling your car on Yahoo Answers is a dumb idea.
There are a hundred better places to advertise your car for free on the Internet. Try craigslist.

Ebay is still a good way to sell it. But be careful about scammers emailing you about sending you extra money to deliver it or have it shipped, and then they want a check from you. Make sure any check or payment written to you is cleared and in you bank or pocket before you relinquish the title with your signature. And set a reserve about 2% above what the least you will take for it, to cover the cost of Ebay's charges.

Some people might say it is a violation as its not a question it's an advert, which I don't think is allowed. You can list it on eBay, it won't cost too much, my car ad was less than £10, and sometimes they do special offers on listing prices.

depends on how you word the question. Although from some of the answers I see on here I would have thought they were not looking to buy a car.

If you phrase it carefully, then maybe:
"Do you know where I can find a buyer for my (car details). I'm looking to get (price)."
It won't cost anything to try.

You could put it in a local magazine on line, such as "Friday-ad". But I think not on Y.A.
