There's alot of information you've not mentioned that would be the key factors in figuring out the value of such a car. The 911 Targa came in three trim levels in 1971, the 911t, 911e, and the 911s: the t being the least expensive, and the s being the most expensive.

Next is the condition of the car, and how close it is to being factory original. A rust free councours condition 911s with all original equipment could demand a premium price around $50k. A poor condition 911t that had rust problems, showed signs of many repaints, but was at least drivable, might get ~$5k.

The 911s will generally demand the highest premium, followed by the E, and then the T (as a rough guess, median prices would be around $30k for the S, $25K for the E, and $20k for the T). The Targa is generally considered less desirable than the Coupe among many looking for these cars, which could push the price down depending on demand when you go to sell. The car's condition and documented history will have a huge effect on price though (a well documented 911T in great condition could demand more than an undocumented 911S in questionable condition).
