Ask Him everyday to manifest Himself to you, and pray that your love for Him will grow into complete devotion. Jesus Himself will show you what you need to see.

If you know God, you know Jesus. If you know Jesus, you know God.
Jesus is the Word, that is to say - the Scriptures. The Divine Man Jesus is the Word God incarnate. Therefore, ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ.
The Bible is important. However, it is my opinion that too many Christian focus too much on the Jesus of and in the Scriptures, rather than the living Jesus Christ Himself.
In your search for a Christian religion that "does it for you", have you considered Catholicism? Catholicism, despite any anti-Catholic claims you have have heard in your time exploring non-Catholic Christianity, is all about Jesus. Catholics have the Bible, Catholics have Sacred Tradition, Catholics have Jesus.
It is possible to have a relationship with Jesus outside of Catholicism. But that relationship can only go so far without the guidance of the Church that Jesus Christ Himself founded.
If you want to get close to Christ, check out the Catholic Church.

As you have already searched through many and various Christian sects without finding or gaining the satisfaction you are seeking, why not look outside that tradition to see what you might learn ( as it can not hurt to do so)?
Jesus Christ, known as the Prophet Essa is a respected prophet of Islam as well as Christianity. Why not read a good translation of the Holy Qur'an to see what is said there regarding Jesus? )Might I recommend the English translation by Yusuf Ali, which is both accurate and poetic.)
As far as some sort of scientific proof of God and Jesus, so sorry, not to be found. That is why it is called "faith" to believe in such. God is not quantifiable.
As far as historical documentation that cites Jesus, so sorry, not much there either despite claims to the contrary by some overly zealous but none too studious individuals here in the present time. (Very few records by historians who lived during the time of Jesus wrote anything about him despite the fact that the Romans were very serious collectors of historical data. The accounts of Josephus, a Jew who worked for and with the Romans during their final conquest and destruction of Palestine, is questionalbe at best.)
Personaly, I find the egotism in your statement, "God I know..." rather amazing, if not alarming. To be intimately aware of the "Mind of God" would be close to making one's self into God (as one who "knows what God knows" and is thereby "all knowing"). Perhaps you stated it incorrectly.
May it all be well with you.

If you mean Jesus, get in a time machine and visit first century Judea. Otherwise, you aren't going to get to know him in a real, practical and tangible way.
Or you could reflect that "Christos" is a Greek mystical term literally meaning "anointed," but originally referring to any person who had experienced "Gnosis" or direct spiritual experience of God while in the flesh. In other words, it referred to a mystic state, not a specific and historically unique person. It was only because the Hebrew "Messiach" also happens to mean "anointed" that the two ideas were confused, and the Christian concept of "Christ" was invented. Christianity is in all ways a synthetic, composite religion.

You're supposed to just pretend that you do, like the other Christians do. Pretend that you don't know the difference between metaphor and reality, and don't let the fact that you're lying get to you.
Alternatively, you could be honest and retain your belief, by choosing faith. It's not real, practical or tangible, but it's honest, and it's still a relationship with Christ.

Come to the Catholic Church. You can receive Christ in the Eucharist in a very tangible way. Additionally...the sacraments are all tangible and real ways of receiving God's grace.
I'm a convert to Catholicism. I'll tell you what...that is what struck me first. Jesus came to us as a real, tangible man...someone that could be touched. He left us with his body and blood...also tangible because this is what we need. We are flesh and our flesh needs him in a way that is physical and real.

Just keep on trying to live his way, without bothering about how it feels. You don't need to keep poking that sore tooth and looking for something. Settle down where you are, live your life, and one day you may be surprised.
And read the short story, "Where Love Is, God Is," by Tolstoy. If someone told me to read it, I wouldn't, because it sounds kind of dull, but it's a wonderful story, and really relevant to your situation. Here's one site, with one translation:

I have never yet seen the proof, so I cannot suggest a correct answer. I only see hate and wars created by people such as George W Bush who profess to be Christian. Yet he kills people every day and the dumb American people let him get away with it.

Meditate on him.... do not let any other thoughts come into your mind not even the Bible.... just Jesus. If you are lucky you might just know God through him...:)
