i got arrested because one of my friends asked a boy for £1 the victim went and told the police that we mugged him but it was only one boy who went up to him .the police caught us walking we got sent to the police station and we stayed there for 8 hours we had are pictures taken and d.n.a , fingerprints.
So does this mean i have a criminal record and i can't get a good job or even go to college or even university.
they also said that we are going to release you on bail and come back next month (((what does that mean))) i am 15 years old.

You will have an arrest record, but you won't have a criminal record unless you are convicted.
When you go back next month you will have a hearing.

You won't have a criminal record unless convicted of something, but you would have an arrest record as you were photographed and fingerprinted. However, those are not usually open to public viewing in anyway since you are considered a minor. You are only 15, so you will probably be called into court with your parents. You need a lawyer to represent you so that you can have your side of the story told. I think in the UK it is probably called a solicitor. Anyway, if you haven't been in trouble before you will probably be put on some kind of a probation and told to clean up your act. This is a hard lesson you have learned, but you will learn to leave any situation that looks like it might get you in trouble.

There's an old saying; ( In for a penny, in for a pound ). stealing is stealing no matter how small or how big.. yes now you have a record, as you were considered an ascessory to the crime.look you had better get a better class of freinds if you stick with these guys you will be doing hard time by the time your an adult.. between now and next month do not get caught doing anything, then go back to the police station at the time they suggest with both your parents as they can only help..

You most likely will not "have a criminal record" unless you are convicted of a crime. It would be to your best interest to get an attorney to accompany you when you return next month. Hopefully, because you are a juvenile and have not been arrested before, the consequenses may not be too harsh.
Your picture, fingerprints and DNA will remain on file for future reference, so stay out of trouble and chose your friends wisely. Otherwise, any arrests in the future may have a more dire outcome.

you will probably be cautioned for the offence which means you will have a criminal record, but it will not count in so many years, you HAVE to return to the police station on a certain time and date, because if you don't you will be in something called breach of bail which a more seious offence, and as long as this isnt the start of a downward spiral into anything else nd you bee good there wont be any problems in the future.

that is so unfair , could the boy prove it thought , that's horrible anyways i would check with the police station but mate i wouldn't worry because if you do yeah and your only young it can be written off with a few years if you have nothing to do with the police, so it wont affect you forever which is the best part but I'm sure you won' have though because the lad can't prove nothing anyways good luck and i hope you don't take care x

Hm..sounds like you did something wrong. Did u run away from the police? That could be why you ended up in jail. You can still get a good job and go to a college. You can do anything that you set your mind to. ;)
