As a Christian, I am not worry about the Judgement day, I have already been Judged by God since I pass from death unto life, The Great white throne Judgement will come after the 1000 yrs milliennium is up, & that is not to judge the wicked to see if they have made it to heaven, but to announce their punishment in the lake of fire. By the way I will be there to help with the judging. 1st Cor. 6:1-3 Come on now read those verses.

Load of crap.

Why not believe in elves and wonderland too? Maybe when we die, we get judged by Winnie the Pooh (that is, if he could ever get around to leveling a charge against anyone). The whole Bible story appeals to a segment of mankind that has an unhealthy interest in self-abasement.

I refuse to live in fear of some dumb-**** dead Jewish man who imagined he was a God, assuming he even existed. If Jesus existed (if the Bible can be believed), it is quite clear he was not a god, as he could not heal everyone. Besides that, it takes more than doing some Hindu Yogi healing to "prove" you are a god. Turn the sun off and back on, then I might believe you made the universe.

Judgment day -- as Christians are told, there is no fear in love. Thus a person that does, practices the good, the righteous things, and lives according to the commands of Christ and his apostles need not fear this day.

It becomes a day of reward for them.

Armageddon, is also known as the harvest time. It begins with the ingathering of the chaff / tares and the burning of it, the ungodly. Next, the wheat is ingathered which means that the ones surviving are let into Paradise.

There is going to be a judgment day whether you believe it or not. The dinosaurs had a judgment day and many other species on this planet had judgment days.
We are eventual going to get wiped out by something and when it happens everyone or anyone who is left will naturally say it was judgment day.
Think of this though....I have been watching a lot of TV concerning natural disasters and in every scenario comets strikes, earthquakes, the eruption of super volcano's, on and on we are past do on all of them and more. Perhaps God is saving it all up for the end of times. Think about it! Scary huh! God loves you peace.

This is a term used by Christians to indicate that time and the universe as we know it will end, and that all people from all times will live in another world: heaven or hell. Some wish to live in heaven with God. They will get to do that. Others think this is foolishness and want nothing to do with Him (many deny His existence). They will get their request and will live without Him. That place is called hell. Christians have often pictured hell as a place of suffering, etc. That is metaphorical for what Christians believe life is like without God in it. There is no fire in hell. There is only the sense of need which is not filled. Feeling forced to pray in order to save your skin is a bit laughable. Picture having the greatest dad in the world. Would you talk to him only because he might whip you if you don't? Of course not. You would converse with him because you loved him, he loved you, and talking with him, spending time with him, was so enjoyable. See you in...Gee, where are you heading?

Of course it won't be a literal "day" since spiritual things are in a different realm than our temporal world. However yes, it is definitely going to happen.

There's nothing to be afraid of if your name is in the Lamb's book of Life. I don't like people who try to convert others on the basis of fear. And besides fear-based conversions sometimes don't really "take"--after they get over the scare, they get bored and backslide.

Jesus came to save the sinner, heal the sin-sick and love the unloveable. The Gospel of salvation is about joy and healing. Those who turn it down thinking they don't want it are the ones who will lose out on that joy, healing and love.

Let's be honest...

The idea of Judgment Day scares you. In your heart, you do believe in Judgment Day. If you didn't, you would not have identified it as a scare tactic.

It is this fear that has prompted you to ask your question. It is a God-Honest answer you seek. You are merely looking for affirmation of your "opinion".

Your personal opinion, or the personal opinions of others, will not save you. God's Truth will, even Truths having to do with Judgment Day.

Whatever the reason that is causing you to fear Judgment Day, resolve it. Make yourself right with God, then you will have no reason to fear God or the Day of Judgment.

LOL i am loving the christian answers - "i'm alright Jack!" jesus knows me and i've got me ticket through those pearly gates" ....
God loves each and every one of us. those at the front of the church, those at the back, and those who have never been. His/Her love is UNCONDITIONAL...and this is the key. just be happy with what you do within your life and that you are true to yourself.. if there were to be judgement - do you think the catholic priest who abused young boys but prayed.. will be judged and rejected? or do you think those who were judgemental having conversations in their own head about this that and the other but externally prayed and to all who looked they were "good christians" on the outside but bitter and angry on the inside.. will they get a better seat on the bus to heaven?
i don't believe that there needs to be a judgement day and if you believe that there is an omniscient God - well.. its impossible to have a judgement day as it is already known!

Everything comes to an end.

And eventually someday our sun will go out of fuel and explode taking all of the solar system with it.

Anything by that magnitude is enough to scare a person.

The important thing is you dont forget, that youre a mortal and your days are numbered, so be good, and do good.

The point of religion is to teach a person: if you cant do good for the love of God, do good for fear of Him.
