no its stupid!!! I mean the food could be out of date or anything thats just taking it to far init!

Umm they don't!! You can only sell booze if the value of the bottle is far greater than the product inside it.

As to food : The sale of food is heavily regulated and users that list food and food-related products should familiarise themselves with all relevant laws before listing such items on eBay.

I think some ppl do sell food as i seen items of food on ebay they just put it into different catagories as there isn't one for food and drink. I guess no one ain't supposed to sell food yet on ebay it's not an online supermarket. if it was ebay's slogan would be buy it, try it, eat it!!
