I have and old TV with only antenaIN/OUT
I've been using a modulator to conect with my SAT/DVD.
This modulator is slowly dying (hum bars + hummmm!)
I cant seem to find another one under 60€.
If I bought a TDT box 40€ ( I dont know what its called in England (digital tv via the old antena) . This box has Antena IN/OUT plus a scart TV and a scart VHS/DVD out.....
which eventually I could plug my DVD and SAT ?????
before I buy it could somebody tell me if this system would work...........or do I still need a f......... modulator ?
Thanks in advance for any answers David.

It's called DTT in England, but most people call it a Freeview Box (TNT in France and who knows what in the USA).

Some DTT boxes have a built in modulator. But many don't and so can only be connected via the SCART connector. You can't tell just by looking at them, because they also have antenna in and out leads so that the antenna can be daisy-chained to other equipment such as a VCR.

But even if you get a DTT box with a built-in RF modulator, it is unlikely to accept an analogue input for switching modulating. The Scart connectors on the back of a DTT box are for routing AV signals.
So, in any particular case, you'll have to try it and see.
