Here's a start, your reference to Jesus being God comes from the doctrine of the trinity, and nowhere in the bible is the concept of God, Jesus and The holy ghost ever conveyed as being as one. The trinity was adopted at the council of Nicea in 325c.e. when apostates (those who work against the teachings of god) incorporated a pagan idea into Christianity that had originated in ancient Egypt and Babylon.
Jesus is clearly quoted in the new testament on many occasions indicating he is in fact God's son and not God:
John 6:44 - " No man can come to me unless the father, who sent me, draws him".
John 6:38 - "Because I have come down from heaven to do, not my will, but the will of him that sent me".
1 John 4:9 - By this the love of God was made manifest in our case, because God sent forth his only-begotten Son into the world that we might gain life through him.
In reference to the latter part of your question. Jesus is called the ransom sacrifice (Matthew 20:28 ..."to give his soul a ransom in exchange for many".)
- 'Since a perfect human life was lost [Adam], no imperfect human life could ever buy it back. (Psalm 49:7, 8) What was needed was a ransom equal in value to what was lost. This is in harmony with the principle of perfect justice found in God’s Word, which says: “Soul will be for soul.” (Deuteronomy 19:21) So, what would cover the value of the perfect human soul, or life, that Adam lost? Another perfect human life was the “corresponding ransom” that was required.—1 Timothy 2:6'*.
Jesus was sent to earth to live a perfect life without sin - in effect, counteracting (therefore - ransom) the sinful life of the perfect man Adam - Jesus therefore payed the price of Adams sin, allowing the way for humans to live in everlasting perfection again; for the bible says: ' For the wages sin pays is death...' (Romans 6:23).

well, in the Buddhism, we respect Jesus, but in our religion, we don't believe that one God is all. Of course, everyone believe in different way, so I have respect for that.
we believe that human was orginally have Buddha nature (we all become Buddha one day and we was pure like Buddha long long long ago)
but due to greedy, anger, and foolishness, we become evil, as we say.
more so, of course, some people are more kind then others.
If you have time read about Buddhism, Maybe you will discover some thing you never heard before.
Buddha said that he doesn't want you to just believe everything he said, he want you to go and test what he teach you if it is true.
He is honorable teacher for us to follow but he is not the one punished us because our deed is the one, Karma, as we speak, what come around goes around.
sorry I hope I am so what helpful to your question.
but ck out this website and it is called buddhanet. I hope I put the accurate html on the bottom but you canread the part about online resource and some simple way of Buddhism.

God loves his creation and is merciful toward us, but He also must be just and so the price must be paid for transgression (sin) since the wages of sin is death.
The unfallen angels (remember 1/3 of the angels followed Lucifer into sin) and the unfallen worlds need to know that God is both, so Jesus left His glorious position in Heaven and paid the price for all mankind.
It is up to the individual to accept that payment or not. All of Gods creation have free will.
God could have destroyed Satan and his followers in Heaven but then the rest of creation would have obeyed Him out of fear and not love.

God set this up in the book of Gen. and all through the Bible it explains the mystery of God's love to mankind.
All sixty six books of the Bible will teach you the history of our Faith.
God's plan of salvation is wisdom to the believer but foolishness to the unbelievers
as you believe so shall you receive.

Atheist power!!
I find it funny how Christians talk about how bad Satan is.
If you've ever watched the South Park movie, they nailed in in his song, and I quote "Without evil there can be no good so it must be good to be evil sometimes."
Who needs the Bible when you have South Park?

From what I understand, He wanted to experience life as a human for himself - to make sure that the rules that he set up were not impossible to follow.
Why do humans procreate themselves?
How many times have human parents 'sacrificed' themselves for the sake of their children to help them learn a life lesson?
Are these children worth forgiving?
No difference.
Bless you on your quest to enlightenment.
I am of no authority - so I could be wrong. Don't shoot the messenger.

we all dont know. in court if we were to speak and argue about religious things, it'd all be "hear-say" anyways (if im thinking of the right term)
ive actually spent some time wondering lately about "god" things. if anyone had the answer to this question... i think theyd be encouraged to shout it on an international loudspeaker and translate it so we could all hear the truth once and for all...

I don't know for a fact, but my opinion is that it was his way to relate to us. By having Jesus on this earth, he was able to see that the world deserved forgiveness and that we were worth it.
Again I'm not an expert, maybe asking a pastor at a local church might clear things up for you.
I pray that you someday realize the gifts God has given you.
God Bless you.

Why would an athiest come onto a public forum and ask for people to convince him about anything relating to God, a being he does not even believe in?
If you believe, then believe. If you dont, then dont.
When you stand in front of St Peter, you will find out if you were right or not.
