They say you lose weight from this, cause it's for a week and you can lose 10-17lbs.. But is it just water weight?
Will this cause dehydration and will the weight come back, after your done..eating light foods..? Also would working out help it along...cause you ARE eating.

I ask like I've never tried this before, but i have when I was fatter, and it worked...I've lost 80lbs from eating right and excercise, but now that I'm thinner, I want to know if it would hurt me any.

I'm planning on taking a multivitamin and lots of water while doing this. Thank you for your answers.

The Cabbage Soup Diet is one of the most famous fad diets, and is a very low calorie low fat diet based on cabbage soup, plus a few other foods, including vegetables, fruits and restricted carbs and protein. Typically the advice is to follow it for 7 days, then eat normally for 14 days, then return to the Cabbage Soup Diet for another 7 days and so on.

Despite claims to the contrary, cabbage does not possess any 'fat-burning' properties. The reason the Cabbage Soup Diet causes weight loss is because it provides no more than about 800-900 calories a day.

I made the soup before and I ate it because I liked it, but I made sure I had protein, some grains, etc. I doubt it will hurt you if you are getting enough of the other things you need. But, it's better to eat a variety of foods and exercise and just make gradual changes that you will stick with. Any time someone diets and then quits and returns the way they ate and their activity levels don't change, they will probably gain weight.

it's not water weight, at least not all of it. and it really can't hurt you because your body won't go into starvation mode. just remember that when your coming off the diet, eat light for about a week, and don't start the diet after a big meal either. and if your not finding enough info, its also called the sacred heart diet. google! kaythanksbye.

you won't lose any body fat on that diet. it's too caloric restrictive and not balanced. rapid weight loss will always result in nothing more than the loss of excess water. the metabolism does not shift from fat storage to accelerated fat loss, especially in those with higher than average levels of body fat. it's basic human biology

its a fad diet.
all you lose when depriving your body is water weight and muscle not fat and slow down your metabolism - what happens is -you lose muscle and gain fat because your body converts everything you eat into fat reserves and uses muscle for energy)
