According to the Mayan Calender its Dec 21, 2012 if you show up January 1, 2013 you will have missed all the laughter..
Mark it on your calender so you can show up December 22, 2012..
I will not be here my daughter and I are having a huge end of the world natural disaster themed party (Volcano shaped cake, earthquake jello, hurricane drinks, flaming Cherry's jubilee, blizzard sundaes... Come dressed as your interpretation of a natural disaster.. You get the idea) the night of the 21st we will either be hung over or unconscious on the 22nd. and possibly for the entire following week..

OK, go ahead, because this was not a Christian who said it. IT was the Mayans(sp) who were increddibly correct on all the prophecies.
But of course, they did not prohpecise their end. That is just when they stopped the calander, and people assume that means it's the end.
Who know's what it means, but I must declare I believe it is true, because not only that but the prophecy of St. Malachy abotu the Popes say there is only 1 more after Benedict, and that may coincide with the 2012 thing....

I'm a Christian and marvel at how others proclaim to know the year when Jesus, Himself, said He didn't know the time or the hour.
I have heard 2010,guess your guy and my guys didn't get together lol.
Yes it is a crock, and I believe a fear tactic sadly. Too bad they can't just share what Christ really is, instead of scaring ppl into wanting to come to Him.

When the world will end is in the hands of God.
it will be like a theif in the night.
All I pray is if I am still on earth that I will be ready but most people don't know when their last day on earth is either so it paids to pray and have your life right with Jesus.

"the prophecy of St. Malachy" - who of course gave rise to that good old English saying, "a load of old malarky".
Turn instead to one of the prophecies of the Flying Spaghetti Monster (Ravioli 18:12) :
"On January First Twenty Thirteen
Will come the greatest party seen
For upon that day all will be hearty
And play, and sing and party"

No, I think it's bs as well. The reason the Mayan calendar ended there is probably because the Mayans ended.

They aren't saying the world will end in 2012. They are saying we will achieve a higher level of consciousness.

There have been thousands of predictions about when the world will end, or when something remarkable or spectacular will happen. So far the world hasn't ended.
