Steel works, Mines and Paper Mills used to have networks but most of these have no gone.
You can take trips around the steel works at Frodingham (Scunthorpe) and part of the old Paper Mill system is in use for the Sittingbourne and Kemsley.
The Industrial Railway Society as mentioned by others will be able to provide you with upto date information on Industrial Railways.

Private industrial railways used to be numerous in the UK but have gone into decline over the last couple of decades, now they are confined to the larger industrial factories/plants of heavy industry. Again in the UK gone into a delcine since the Tory government of Mrs M Thatcher took the hatchet to our industrial base.

The last use of steam on an industrial railway was in 1980. Large numbers of industrial locomotives are preserved on heritage railways, in museums, etc.

There are quite a few steam railways in the uk - generally owned and run by enthusiasts. I don't think they do any industrial stuff though.

theres a couple. The watercress line in Hampshire, the East Lancashire railway in Bury, the Keighley and Worth Valley railway in West Yorkshire. Theyre the only ones I can think of offhand

British Steal (now Chorus) run their own trains arround their steal works in Scunthorpe. I also gather that you can travel on a stean train if you go on a tour of the steal works there.

Brtish Steel at Scunthorpe had its own railway network, but they had diesel units.

the munitions industry has private track and allso some large steal plants have private track
