Bob Dylan is a terrible singer, so being a better singer than him is not saying much. Doherty needs to clean up his act.
EDITED TO ADD: sorry to those who are in denial but Dylan cannot sing for toffee!! He is a genius songwriter (much better than Doherty), but he sucks at singing!! You know its the truth!!

Pete would be better covering Dylan's songs. Dylan is the best writer in the past 50 years.

Babyshambles . . . . i was embarassed for them. Havent heard much of the libertines but it's a pretty big waste so far. Neither of them can sing worth a **** but Bob Dylan spearheaded a generation. Like Jack Kerouac, hunter, Burroughs, . . . I hope doherty isnt, cause crack smoking squatter doesnt really work out in the long run.

Sorry no, Bob Dylan is a legend and Pete Doherty is a mess, he may be talented but if I was to be totally honest and I know I am being rude about him, he makes my flesh crawl.
I watched him on Johnathan Ross last night and he is a car crash waiting to happen.

No way. Bob Dylan's singing voice may not be the best but his lyrics far surpass Doherty's.

In 1965 someone asked him about his singing he said " I hit all the right notes"
