As with the bible, the bad parts are ignored. Just like people ignore when Jesus asks us to kill all of his enemies in Luke 19:27. Or when Lot killed his wife and said that god turned her into a "pillar of salt". Or when god killed the innocent first born babies of the people that were strong enough to question him.

No... but why try to compare that movie to the Bible or Christianity at all... the entire premise (that God brings a second flood) has been obliterated by the Bible, which says a second flood won't come & the rainbow is the symbol of that promise. I haven't seen the movie - so maybe they had God come up with a way around his promise?

Haha... oh... good ol fairy tales

I haven't seen the movie but the previews make it appear to be a spoof on the Bible story. I'm sure the characters say witty things and mishaps befall them that are considered comedic. But, certainly, there is nothing funny about being the object of God's judgment--just ask the Egyptian pharoh and his people who refused to listen to Moses and let the Israelite slaves go.

It doesn't show anyone being killed in the flood. It is a good family movie. It has more emphasis on family values and good character then on the actual biblical story.

No idea. It's one of the few movies I won't see on principle.

Seriously, some people believe in the original Noah's ark. They will probably love this because it adds fun and comedy to the myth. I'd like to avoid it.

Because it isn't real, it can be silly. Obviously, if any number of people really died, it would not be funny. But haven't you seen war comedies? Just remember there's a difference between laughing at a joke or a comedy and laughing at the death of others. Laughing at your own death is acceptable.

I havn't seen it - but from what I hear, it doesn't include killing 6 billion people in a flood.
