I'm just wondering why you christians are so offended by other religions, even those whose "religion" is non religion. Specifically, I'm wondering why you feel its "anti" christian to "ignore" christian philosophy and cause a big to-do about "discrimination," but do not acknowledge the discrimination created for non christians in the opposite situation. I don't want a bunch of answers 'from the choir' so to speak, I really want to hear from christians on how they justify this double standard. The floor is yours...

1. I was raised Catholic and attended Catholic school for 12 years.
2. Its fine to try and "Save" someone, but if they don't want it (and while the predomonint SINGLE religion is Christianity - in all it forms - the MAGORITY of the world is NOT Christian)
3. I am SPECIFICALLY addressing the double standard of the suggested "anti-christian" as suggested by christian movents as compared to the anti NON-christian that christians seem not to acknowledge.

Christians seem not to acknowledge the fact that as real as they feel their God is, other religions ALSO feel THEIR God is JUST AS REAL, so belittling another's god is just as insulting...

Jesus Christ gave us the mission to preach His gospel and try to convince you to repent. We're trying to convince you to save yourselves from hell by repentance from sin and absolute, trusting faith in Jesus Christ as the sole source of righteousness in the eyes of God.
All men will be judged one day. We don't want you to be damned. You may not like it or believe it, but we're trying to help you, and that because we love you.

I think the reason that chrisitans do this depends a lot on the person involved and how they think. While I am currently Wiccan, I tryed to be christian for many years denieing what I really was. I saw a lot of fanatical and not so fanatical christians during that time. A minority of them were appalled at the way nonbelievers were being treated by the fanatics but felt that they couldn't say much or be accused of anti christian beliefs. So they kept quiet about what was happening. The fanatics on the other hand felt that they had every right to do what they were doing. It was a power thing. I thought of them as being a kind of stalker. The stalker believes that they "love" their victims and are being loving by hurting and controlling them. If you think about how stalkers work, it is a lot like fanatical christians. Of course the ultimate love to a stalker is the death of the victim. Here it is the death of honest beliefs, human spirit, individuality, other cultures etc. The list of the types of death they dole out is endless and yes, in some cases there is the physical death of someone who resists all attempts at being controled. I know that you wanted to hear from christians but I just had to share my thoughts on this. Blessed Be.

hahahah "you Christians"...
Christians aren't all the same. I don't care if you believe in Jesus or not, nor am I offended by other religions. I'm actually very interested in other religions and very open minded. I think it's wrong when people force their religions on others, which is DEFINITELY not only a Christian thing.
The Christians (or I should say religious people, because it's not only Christians who act the way you are describing) who act the way you think all Christians act are often extremists. They're self righteous and think that it's their duty to save everyone. They often lose touch of what their own religion is all about.
Christianity is a VERY broad thing. There are many many many denominations who believe different things. It's unfair to label us all that way, but unfortunately, the extremists give us a bad name.

What really kills me is that athiest want the double standard not Christians. All we want is the freedom to speech to express ourselves. Athiest want to squelch that speech all the time when it might offend them, but want to spout off the rest of the time whenever they want. That is the double standard.
I don't want everyone to convert to Christianity. I know that God will only call some and other will not be called. I just want to be able to present the Gospel to everyone so that no one has an excuse on judgement day and that no one was left behind for not hearing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Remeber in the end it like realestate there are only two locations heaven and the lake of fire. You have them put before you.

If God...singular...created everything, the He would want things done HIS way.
According to Christianity and Islam, there is ONLY one God.
So the question arises....Which religion is doing the RIGHT thing....from God's point of view?
Is God a loving God that accepts ALL forms of worship?
Or is God a vengeful God that demands, under pain of death, that we worship Him?
The Quran [ Koran]
implies that He wants followers to kill others if they are disrespectful [ e.g. Salman Rushdie]
The Bible says that if we are insulted, to turn the other cheek,
And if the God of the Bible is insulted, that HE will repay.
Romans 12;19
So are ALL forms of worship acceptable?
sorry, but the Bible says NO>
(Matthew 7:21-23) “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. 22Â Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ 23Â And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew YOU! Get away from me, YOU workers of lawlessness.
I personally, obey a God with some compassion but I do it HIS way.
Matthew 28; 19,20

Even if I tell you, I do not think you will believe me or understand my answer, but since you asked:
We care enough to share eternal heaven, happiness, joy and everlasting peace with you. We fear and are saddened at what lies ahead for you IF you refuse to accept truth found ONLY in Jesus Christ who is The Way, The Truth and The Life. We realize satan has deceived many and is lurking around, waiting to devour his next victim of ignorance. Our hearts go out to you and we desperately want to open your eyes and hearts to Jesus. We know you only have whatever time God has alloted you on this earth to come to accept and know God/Jesus. Once that time is up, no more chances. You will die with your choices and consequences. Thanks for reading. The choice is yours...

Well I think it is because most Christians believe that Bible is true and that our version of reality and how we know God is accurate. If what we believe is true then other religions cannot be true right? Religions are not all-inclusive.
If I am happy as a Christian and I want others to be happy then of course I want them to believe in Jesus Christ.
Basically there is only truth, there are no multiple truths.

I'm not a christian but I just wanted to say that you make a great point.
People have to accept the fact that not everyone believes in the same things as them and they should learn to deal with it.

First of all, it is not prudent to lump any group together. You Christians, you black people, you women and on and on. Prejudice like this is caused by ignorance and fear. That is the real double standard.

Umm...not all Christians are like the ones that you describe. In fact, I believe the ones you are describing are a minority, but are highlighted because people only like to focus on negatives, not positives.
