He guilts me into doing his homework for him (we are in college), including essays and projects. He complains and tells me that I'm "not a good writer" when these essays don't get high grades (I am not in the same classes as him and he asks me to do papers at the very last minute, of course they aren't going to be A papers). He is afraid of going to the bathroom by himself sometimes. He once yelled at me, flipped me off, told me "**** you," told me he didn't love me anymore and made me cry because I didn't borrow *enough* toilet paper from our next door neighbor for him
Once, he was having a disagreement with one of our friends and he said I "sided with her" instead of him (even though I don't really think I sided with anyone). He was so angry about this he said the only way he could trust me again was if I cut my hand a little bit and make it bleed show that I was loyal to him.
He gets mad at me if I to go to my own house because one of my housemates' friends has a crush on me. HELP!

Seriously...get out now. Get help. I would say that if you told him you wanted to end it that he may do something.
The fact that he asks you to hurt yourself to show loyalty sends all kind of warning signals.
Please seek protection and help and get the hell away from him.

TALK TO YOUR PARENTS AS WELL AS THE THE SCHOOL POLICE !!!!
YOU NEED TO START SOME SORT OF PAPER TRAIL.
I would also see about withdrawing from your classes and get the h*ll out of Dodge!!!! See if you can transfer to another college - the sooner the better!!!!!
I personally think this guy is strange and trying to be possesive at the same time. To me these two things are very dangerous.
If nothing else, move back home for a while and get a restraining order from a judge.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

I would definately say him asking you to cut yourself is a huge sign of a problem. Everything you've described can be a sign of a few different psychological problems.
See that he visits a therapist and a psychiatrist. If he doesn't want help or to pursue treatment I'd consider breaking up with him. That's extremely bad, abusive, and destructive. You should not subject yourself to that.
He could have: Bi-Polar, Borderline Personality Disorder, Schizophrenia... or who knows what else.

Find another bf. There are millions of guys in the world. I'm sure there are plenty that will like you for you and will treat you good. You shouldn't lock yourself to something when you haven't explored around yet. I would suggest you don't waste anymore time on him and move on. You'll be much happier :)

It sounds to me like this guy has some real problems. I really think you need to get away from him. His actions could lead to more violent reactions to you. It actually made me nervous reading what you wrote. He is too jealous, overbearing and defiantly too weird. I really think you can do better and I know you deserve better. Get away before things turn REALLY ugly. Good luck!

yes he does have a problem many of them. he is possesive.
And abusive. you need to give him the silent treatment.
Leave him alone for a while. Make sure your best friend knows whats happening. Then walk this off with your friends till he wises up.

Ummm... Yeah! Pack up your i$h and go already!
Don't want to offend but while your at it... You should seek some counseling also because anyone that has tolerated this madness definitely has some self esteem issues... JMHO...

No, your boyfriend is not psychologically ill. His is a disrepectful, unappreciative, manipulative jerk who enjoys keeping you down while showing all evidence to the fact that he is an idiot.
You are in an abusive relationship. Time to say goodbye.

Yes, I'd say he's ill and abusive. You need to talk to a counselor or someone at the medical facility on campus. You need out of this relationship STAT!
