my dad is rather active for a man above 50 years of age, and lately i have realised that nerves around his calf are pritruding. its really abvious and seem as though its above his flesh but just hiding under his skin. i would really like to know is this dangerous? he says he feels no pain or discomfort due to it, but still im a little worried.
please and thank you for all those who reply.

those are distended veins or varicose veins, it can be corrected by vein stripping for women for aesthetic purposes, but for men, if there's no discomfort they just leave it alone. if it start to bother him, he should see a vascular specialist, sometimes, anti embolic stockings are prescribed, and elevating the legs at night helps.

those are called spider veins or varicose veins, my mom has em. They look kinda gross but aren't really harmful or like you said painful. they have a certain type of shot that can shrink them...but that's painful, my friends mom had that done. i also have been told that they're hereditary.

they are not nerves but varicous veins, happen in older people especially if you stand a lot ,if they dont hurt dont worry,if they hurt you can get stockings for them or have them removed
