Now really guys, I see many americans hating american brands!
They just got no idea how much that can harm the american economy. That's not about hating a company, it's about hating the whole country, including yourself!
When will people eventually wake up?
When will they buy a Chevy instead of Toyota?
When will they stop making bad advertising about their own products?
They must stop, or they will destroy the american economy, that is something very very serious.
Too many people hating Microsoft, without thinking that Microsoft is not using outsourcing.Yeah that rich Bill Gates is not that greedy as you might think, he could just use foreign software developers for their software, and he could be richer.
Will they stop anytime soon?

Protectionism fails every time its tried and the strength of the American economy has ALWAYS been our willingness to trade with as many nations as possible, many times regardless of political orientation, diplomatic anger, etc. See, every economic transaction is a trade, we all make trades every day because they are mutually beneficial.
Remember the U.S. television industry? Everyone thought America was doomed in electronics because the Japanese started making cheaper TVs. What happened to all the American electrical engineers? Oh yeah, they went on to create companies like Apple and Microsoft.
If America wants to stay on the cutting edge of the future, we have to stay well educated, and we have to outsource the tasks that aren't cutting edge.
Today, we don't export cars. We export airplanes because they're worth more. We don't export TVs and Radios and VCRs, because Windows has a higher profit margin. The list goes on...trade works!

What?! Microsoft not outsourcing? You have to be kidding they recruit and have design centers outside the US. There is probably more domestic content in a Toyota then there is in a Chevy. This is the land of the free, are you forcing me to buy American? I do not buy countries, I buy products that appeal to me regardless of country. (with a few exceptions)

While not liking American products just because they are American, doesn't make much sense, not liking foreign products doesn't make sense either.
The American economy isn't going to be hurt by foreign trade and over time imports and exports tend to balance out.

Do you really think that a Chevy is made in America anymore??
I saw a program on tv a while back that said that no "american" car is totally made in the US anymore...and that most parts of them are made elsewhere.
And as far as other products - americans would prefer to save money, and that products made entirely by americans in american shops would not be cost effective.
sad...ain't it?

Not likely sadly. Few people like me complain that there aren't enough American products on the market. I complain about that because stuff made here used to be made better than in other places.
Have a great day fellow American.

Yes we should stop using foreign products. We really do not need them. But, the rest of the world cannot stop using our products because ours are necessary.
