I'm one month pregnant. I had a small surgery to remove a cyst. In ER i got anesthesia and vicodine. I also got prescribed two antibiotics. Keflex and another one for a vaginal infection. I know you are not supposed to drink anything during pregnancy but my health was at risk. My question is...if i have the baby is this something that can affect the pregnancy or the baby when is born? Because of all the prescription drugs I've been taking I was considering a miscarriage afraid that the pregnancy is going to be affected by it.

Should I keep the pregnancy?

It sounds to me like you have some doubts about having this baby.
I went through a similar experience with my first pregnancy. Although I wanted a baby, once I found myself pregnant, I also felt scared and not totally ready. I also had some health concerns and asked my Doctor if I should or could have the baby. He said 'there are no medical reasons why you should abort'.
It was then that I fully embraced my pregnancy and carried my baby to term. He is now 31 years old, has a child of his own, which makes me a grandma.
You mentioned 'you are not supposed to drink anything during pregnancy'. Does that mean that you are drinking alcohol along with the antibiotics? If so, the alcohol will make the antibiotics useless.
Antibiotics are there to keep your own body from infection, and your own body is needed to carry the baby. When your health is at risk, so is the baby's.
It is best to keep the use of antibiotics down as far as possible during pregnancy, but if they are needed, they are needed.
For yeast infection, consider taking douches with vinegar and water. In most cases, that is a potent home remedy which will also keep your body (and the baby's) unaffected by stronger chemicals.
Put 2 oz of vinegar into 1 Quart of water. Douche with that, or increase the proportions to make enough vinegar/water to take a sitzbath in. A sitzbath is where you put the solution in a dishpan, for instance, and then sit in that.
Consider holistic alternatives for medication. For instance, for pain, consider relaxation therapy - music, massage, meditation. This really works!
Do not discontinue any antibiotics you already started before the prescription has run its course. The only thing you will accomplish by that is make the bacteria in your body (and in your baby's) immune to the medicine.
Just try to keep to more holistic therapies after this event has come to term.
Now is a good time to prepare for being a Mom by studying up on good self care. It is something you can pass along to your child on top of benefiting for yourself.
Above all: relax. Enjoy being pregnant. Yes, I know, it is weird and sometimes scary, but it does create a greater YOU in the process.

Most antibiotics are fine during pregnancy, but some are not. I had a friend who worked in Tom Dashiell's office at the time of the anthrax scare, and she was pregnant. She got a different antibiotic from everyone else. Talk to a good obstetrician about it. Also, if the docs knew you were pregnant at the time of the surgery, they would have taken appropriate precautions. Still, to put your mind at ease, talk to the obstetrician.

I also had several antibiotics and other things I had to take during pregnancy. All three of my children turned out fine. My first is a A honor roll student. My second is very bright and can say ABC's and count to 100 at 4. My third is a year old, and was walking and yelling at his siblings at ten months. They have also been very healthy.

Weather you want to keep the pregnancy or not is your decision but you can't find out weather or not there is something wrong with the baby till about 9 to 16wks. But it should be okay. They prescribe antibotics to pregnant women all the time.
