Pennyroyal tea has been traditionally employed as an emmenagogue to promote menstrual flow, and as an abortifacient to initiate self-abortion. Pennyroyal tea may safely stimulate mild increase in menstrual flow. It can also be used to induce abortion. The essential oil is extremely concentrated, and is highly toxic even in small doses. It should never be taken internally. However it should not be used to self-abort since complications can occur: in 1978, a pregnant woman died after consuming two tablespoonfuls (~30 ml) of Pennyroyal oil, and in 1994, another death occurred after a pregnant woman (attempting to self-abort, but with an unknown ectopic pregnancy) consumed tea containing Pennyroyal extract.[1]

It's a Nirvana song, and herbal tea brewed from the pennyroyal plant. Among other things, pennyroyal can stimulate menstruation and possibly bring about abortion. Pennyroyal is also a flea repellent.

Pennyroyal is a member of the mint family reputed to repel fleas and ticks, cause spontaneous abortion (see "Clan of the Cave Bear") and other medicinal effects. In other words primitive birth control. The FDA warns it to be toxic.
Pennyroyal tea is a brew of such leaves.

It is an herb that you make into a tea. When you drink it is supposed to bring about an abortion but I don't know if it works.
