He will have the mark of the beast. In other words, he'll carry around three copies of the book '6'.

This is one of the reasons you may want to read Revelation, but then again if you are around at the time of the antichrist, you will probably not be one to read the Word of God. The people who are left behind, will see the antichrist and many will ignorantly follow Him as he is going to be very intelligent, charming and speak with much charisma, so as to deceive people into thinking he is saving mankind from this world's woes. This is the dilemna they will be in. While on earth, living their human lives, they didn't recognize Jesus as The Way, The Truth and They Life, so they more than likely will not recognize this false christ for who he is and how he's taking them to the lake of fire with him forever. Moral of this is: If satan can deceive you now and lure you away from Jesus, then he'll surely deceive you when he indwells a man who is coming on the world scene to do the same. No one knows who the antichrist is or will be, as he will not be revealed until midway in the tribulation period. And we christians hope to be gone before that time. The antichrist is everything Christ is not. And if you do not recognize Christ, you'll not know His enemy either. Do read God's Word. God bless you

All Satan has to do to ensure the corruption of the world is never to produce the Anti-Christ.
If Jesus/God creates one, just to fulfill prophecy so he can appear, he has condemned a person to a fate that is totally unjust.
If Jesus appears without the Anti-Christ, either the Bible will be disbelieved for being false (since the Anti-Christ is supposed to appear first), or he will be called the Anti-Christ and attacked.
Revelations was either Satan's crowning achievement, or the universe is far more convoluted than any of us can imagine (I stand with the latter one).

Revelation is not a "at face value" book. Everything is symbolic. Antichrist is typified by the Roman Caesars who required their subjects to burn incense to their statues. This is the ultimate in rebellion against the Maker of all things (including Caesar or any other man). In Genesis, the "image of God" is set against the back drop of ancient Egypt, where a conquering pharaoh would have a statue of himself carved into mountainsides of newly occupied territory to prove he ruled there. We are God's statues, for one human to require another human to worship his image (read "statue") is completely anti Christ who is the only true "image" of God.

I figure the furry legs and cloved hooves might be a give away. :)
A question for your question - does the real antichrist exist? Maybe those that claim it are in need of attention of a means to justify whatever habits/hobbies they have.

The only thing that it says in the bible, is that he will be attractive, he will preach false things in the name of Christianity, he will have many followers, he will be much beloved by people who don't truly know Christ as their savior, and that once he has people behind him, he will claim to be the second coming of Jesus.
If you are truly interested, read Revelation.

This Hadith gives a good description...
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 9.242 Narrated by Abdullah bin Umar
Allah's Apostle said. "While I was sleeping, I saw myself (in a dream) performing Tawaf around the Ka'ba. Behold, I saw a reddish-white man with lank hair, and water was dropping from his head. I asked, "Who is this?' They replied, 'The son of Mary.' Then I turned my face to see another man with a huge body, red complexion and curly hair and blind in one eye. His eye looked like a protruding out grape. They said (to me), He is Ad-Dajjal." The Prophet added, "The man he resembled most is Ibn Qatan, a man from the tribe of Khuza'a."
The anti-Christ is known as Ad-Dajjal in Islam.

Or, anyone could claim it's someone else...
what would distinguish them depends on who is answering. Hopefully, one of God's reps that God has the regular face-to-face conversations with, will have the (God's) answer for you.
