Are you right that you don't understand? I would say so, and I think thats a good thing. As long as you don't know, you can still question.

The Bible does not say that- but there are many passages that say to pray without ceasing- there is also a story that says be persistent in prayer. Whatever you are praying for, continue to pray for it until God answers, either yes or no- sometimes the answer is wait- and that means you are to continue to pray. Do not give up-

after going to catholic school for over fourteen years, they teach you that the bible is very open for interpretation. I think that if you pray for something more than once, its not selfish, its just the human need to feel like god is listening. i don't think... this is completely opinionated, that god doesn't care how many times you pray for something as long as you are thankful for what you do have in your life and you keep him first. never let anyone tell you that the bible is read in a specific way, it is open for each person's interpretation. i hope this helps!

I don't recall that from the bible. Where did you read it? You can pray for something more than once. You can pray for your salvation many times for example.

Probably sometimes, I don't believe anyone can be "wrong" all of the time.

As for interpreting scripture, I am not arrogant enough to believe I can translate the alleged word of God. There are only a few people that can do that for you...you...and those people that have the regular face-to-face conversations with God on a regular basis. They get the scoop straight from the mouth of God.

No. You wouldn't be selfish, just stupid. All the praying in the world would not heal a single amputee.
