I have thick, straight hair. I want my hair to look naturally wavy for some occasions. When I use a curling iron or rollers, they look unnatural. Any suggestion??

thanks ♥♥

Without using curling iron or rollers huh.

Well your best bet is right after you wash your hair to put you hair in a braid (or a bunch of braids depending on how tight/many curls you want) and leave it in a braid until your hair dries completely then when you take it out it should stay curly till you wash it, depending on your hair type.

Other thing to do, is again right after you wash your hair divide your hair up into a couple of different sections and buy some "curl spray" to help shape your curls and/or hair spray and then take the different sections of hair and just twist them and clip them up with some small clips and again wait till its dry.

You can also try doing the above with dry hair although it probably wont have as good results and/or your hair might end up a bit stickyish..so best to do right after washing.

Garnier Fructis Curl Shaping Spray Gel is is good to use, (can be found at pretty much any place that sells hair products)

good luck!!

Well...I'm not really sure if this would work for you since you said you have straight hair...but it's worth a try. The way I get wavy hair is I put scrunching gel in my hair when it is still wet from the shower...like after I have brushed it out and towel dried it a little bit, and then I just scrunch my hair and then I let it air dry....it always looks really natural and cute for me, but then again my hair is naturally kind of wavy, so i'm not sure if it would work for you...you could try it though if you wanted, I mean there's no harm in it, right?

I read an article about an easy way Heidi Klum makes her hair wavy. After you wash your hair, put mousse in it and blow dry it (I put my head upside and just use my fingers - no brush -for extra body). Immediately after, while your hair is still warm, separate your hair down the middle as you would do for pigtails. Then separate each side the opposite way. So you have four squares of hair. With each square twist your hair and make a mini bun. Leave your hair like this for a half hour or so. Once you pull your hair separate the twists with fingers and spray with aerosol hair spray. If you want it wavier separate your hair into more squares for more mini buns. Hope this makes sense it is hard to explain without showing you.

I recommend trying to braid your hair in a few braids after getting out of the shower, that way it's damp. Also keep it like that overnight and then in the morning you can take it out and it will look wavy, alittle more natural looking, too. If that doesn't seem to work, braiding and then twisting the braids into a loose bun could also be a suggestion.

Hope this helped. :)

Try using Loreal Paris Studioline springing curl enhancing mouse. It controls frizz and leaves hair nice and volumes. It may just leave your hair looking a bit wavy. If not try those Remington rollers they work really good, just put hair spray so they stay intact. Trust me this is a great product, you won't be disappointed!!

Have you tried using Mousse on wet hair? The other option is to use a curling iron, BUT afterward tousle the curls to loosen them up or comb through with fingers. This way you'll have waves instead of curls.

You could take chunks of your hair and braid it while it's damp before you go to bed and when you wake up in the morning (when the braids are almost dry), unravel them and rake through your hair using a little shine serum concentrating on your ends until you're satisfied with the result. Good luck!

Twist about 1 inch sections of damp hair and a little mousse around your finger. then let it twist on itself. Pin closely to your head and let dry completely or you can use a hair dryer on it. When you unpin, lightly run your fingers through it to loosen the curl. Set with flexible holding spray. Voile!

You could try using a scrunching gel, such as the Frisky Scrunching Gel by TIGI, which you apply to damp hair and then scrunch with your fingers to activate.
