I've only been really serious about it now for the last two days. She did pretty good the first day but today she only went in the toilet once even though I was asking her every half hour. Please help! :)

potty training takes months. it will not happen over night, instead of asking her get up every hour during the day and take her. once an hour every hour sit her on the potty, you have to be consistent put her in panties and take her once an hour every hour everyday. and have her sit bare bottomed on the potty chair everytime you go

Potty training quick? Good luck with that one. Doctors today will tell you that a child will potty train on their schedule, not yours. You're going to have be patient. A couple of days is not going to do it If you had been working on it for a couple of months she might be getting there now. Don't rush her and don't stress her out. Make potty time a special time where she can play with a special toy or you read her her favorite story. Just sit there with her and make it a positive experience. When she is successful praise her and tell her what a big girl she is. When she is not successful tell her it's okay, we'll try again later. Don't let her have the special toy/story anywhere but on the potty. Good luck. I'm sure there are all kinds of web sites with more and probably better information than I've given you.

It's a process! It doesn't happen over night! My daughter will be 3 in september, and finally got it down during the day, but wears a pull-up at night. The biggest thing that I can stress is make it fun! Do not get angry with her when she has an accident. Encourage her by saying, "Almost baby, we just have to try harder next time!" Praise her when she does do it. Give her prizes and let her know how much of a big girl she is. If you get mad with her, she's not going to want to cooperate, and you're only going to hurt her feelings. Be patient, it will come with time. I would also tell my daughter when I had to go potty, and ask her to "help me", and then ask if she needed my help to go so that she would try and realize it was easy and fun. Good luck!

If it was a boy, I would say to put cheerios in the toilet to give them something to aim at, make it a game. That was how we potty trained all three of our boys. They liked doing it so much that they would almost beg to go in & "shoot the O's" whether they were just in there or not. Ours actually taught each other as well. They are around two years apart, so the first was potty trained well before the second one started, etc.
With a girl, I can't help you....But I wouldn't push her. She will learn at her own pace. She may not even be ready right now.

I had a hard time potty training my son. When he was 31/2 the movie cars was out. He loved that movie, so everytime he went to the potty and did something, I would go online to their website and print a picture and then he could hang it up on the wall in the bathroom he was fully potty trained in a week. I had tried everything else.

Dont rush the poor child, it takes time and when she's ready she will let you know when its time to go. Use positive re-enforcements, like praise, stickers and treats, also show her that using the "potty" is a big girl thing and tell her every time she uses it that she is a big girl. Hope that helps. Also ask ur mom or other family members for their advice, if you havent done so already!!

Stop asking her every 1/2 hour.
Get the Dr. Phil potty training manual
or super nanny manual they both work.
Basically they used a potty doll and you can give her a jelly bean every time she goes but let her choose her candy after she washes her hands
and make sure you have her favorite book near the potty.
Good Luck!!!

usually it's best not to push the whole potty training thing just because they will get frustrated. it may seem like she should be potty trained already, but don't sweat it! it's best to let them get interested in it first, they will know when they want to be potty trained.

you can try reading books on being potty trained to her, that might spark her interest more easily.

Using postive reinforcement. Some examples are:

stickers
verbal praise every time
after so many times potting in the toilet buy a small inexpensive toy
have them when they are at home just have them wear their underwear or go bu-- naked with just a shirt on.

good luck it does take a lot of patience....
