This is a follow up on a previous question that most cops cant shoot to save their lives. Over 70 cops have been killed this year as they couldnt hold their own in a gun fight.
The first clip shows over 40 shots fired and only 2 hit. If the idiot who pulled the gun on the cop could shoot, this cop would be dead.

I stand corrected. 97 cops killed with 83 by gunfire. 47 by their own gun going off while cleaning.
New reports show that donut-rage is as serious as steroid-rage.

Wow are you excellent at stereotyping, along with the first answerer.
Let me ask you this....when you go shoot your revolver or whatever it is that you shoot, do you put on your pretty ear muffs and shine up your gear before you shoot? Do you eat a healthy lunch and fire a few rounds?
Try drawing your weapon under stress, not everyday stress either. Try drawing your weapon and firing accurately when you know that if you dont, he will. Try drawing your weapon and shooting SOMEBODY, not SOMETHING.
I understand that statistics show that a very low average of rounds hit a target when a firearm is used by a police officer, but you havent taken into consideration the stress levels and other factors that go into those statistics.
Cops arent hated by everyone, they are hated by some, disliked by some but liked by many many more. I hope someday you get the chance to see what happens when a cop isn't there to save your as s.
Its people like you that ruin the reputation of the job and give us the image of the bad guy, when in reality we work to keep the communites safer by whatever means necessary.

Most cops like wearing the gun to make them feel BIG, but they are NOT what you call gun enthusiasts. The only time they shoot is when they qualify at the range, or when they have to out in the streets, where they hit nothing.

Your quote of 70 officers being killed this year by gunfire is in error.
To date 93 officers have given their lives in the line of duty. 92 were men and 1 was a woman,
Of those deaths 34 were the result of gunfire, 29 were from automobile accidents the rest are assorted reasons. I've included a link so you can research the information yourself.

you should really get a life...you must not understand that one day...while your *** cant breathe, or while your sitting somewhere bleeding to death...a officer may have to save you life...just because it's our job.....but trust me, i would be wary to do that for someone like yourself...
also, try shooting while being shot at!! that will make you think twice about critisizing an officer. we do ****, most people never dream of!

It comes down to training. Too many when they're learning to fire a weapon focus on the sites and not the target. Under pressure people do the exact opposite, so it makes sense that they'll miss. Also, adrenaline makes it harder to hold steady and aquire a proper site picture. No one fires as well under pressure as they do at the qual range.

You are dead wrong there have been 38 officers killed this year in the US by gunfire and not all of those have been from a shoot out some have been ambushed or in other situations. REVIEW YOUR FACTS BEFORE YOU POST YOU IDIOT.

Most cops "can't shoot" because most people "can't shoot." Not with a handgun, not in an impromptu firefight, not in a cop situation.
On a nice firing range, on a Sunday morning, at a paper target, sure, most people can hit that once in a while.
The main difference between cop shooters and the people shooting back at them is, the cops have more reason to care if they accidentally shoot a bystander.

Everything changes when someone is shooting at you.
The ******** that starts shooting at the cops had woke up that morning intent on shooting one, so he has been psyching himself up for awhile. If cops tried to stay on edge like that 10-12 hours a day we'd be burned out in 3 years.
