Video signals are amplified by "video amplifiers" (naturally). The term refers to amplifiers that can amplify in the range of 30Hz to 5MHz (approx). Some can go to DC. They are often designed as stagger-tuned stages (each stage peaks at a different frequency in the range).

The video signal is sent to the GRID or the CATHODE of the CRT.
