First of all your decision to want to have childern is just that, your decision and not someone elses. Although mom may have good intentions, this type of decision belongs to you and your husband. It may be difficult to want her approval and unfortunatly you may not get it from her. I imagin at this point you have probably have asked her reasons without much sucess. I think however for your own happiness, continue with your wishes when you feel the time is right and maybee she will come to her senses once the baby is born. I wish you lots of luck with school, career and a family.....

Um, you're 27, married, and letting your mom dictate if you have kids or not? I'm not trying to sound mean or anything, but are you serious? Here's some simple advice: Ignore her! It's not her body or her choice, it's yours. You're a grown woman, so grow a spine and do what *you* want, not what she wants you to do.

its what you want not what other people want...maybe they are just worried about how you are going to handle the resposibility of having your own kids, but rather they maybe just want you to prioritize properly because having kids is not only wanting it but maintaining it properly the correct and right way all your life. that is a very, very big, big, big responsibility.

You are a grown women! listen to your heart not Momma!
She doesn't want you to have kids because she would have to share you! She needs to find her own life and sounds like she is living through you.

Do what you want and what is best for you and your husband. Your mum has no right to interfere. you are old enough now to make your own decisions.

Stand up on your own two feet otherwise you are letting your mum control you.

since ur 27 y do u need ur mothers approval? its not her life its ur's. once ur an adult all she can do if give a opinion dosnt mean u have to accept it. sounds like u need to grow up and live ur own life not the one she probably wish she lived.

Considering it's none of her business....

I'd say you don't really have a problem.

Good luck with achieving all of YOUR goals! Let your mom worry about her own goals.

Don't worry about what she wants. It's not her life. She can live with it or not. Either way, she should grow up, let go, or something.

you're old enough to make your own decisions. having a child is a decision you and your husband should make. if you want to know why your mom doesn't want you to have kids, then ask her why.
