The only biblical proscription against it would be that we're obligated to follow the law. If it's legal where you live then I don't think you have a problem. OTOH I don't think you're functioning at your best when you're high.
The "temple of the Holy Spirit" argument doesn't apply. That's talking about sexual promiscuity.

Well the only part I can see that is wrong is because you are supposed to treat your body like a temple. Just Because something is illegal according to the STATE does not mean it is illegal to GOD. Maybe he doesnt mind if ya smoke, we dont know that do we? No we do not, except in case of point already referenced aboved.
Weed some might argue has medicinal factors while others would say its misuse is harmful to your health just like smoking. However, God did create weed and no one seems to know what else it is good for so who is to say it is not ok.
Yes I think it is between you and God, heck many people do worse things but in the end its Gods choice to make it acceptable or not, not the state.

When anything that people might want is outlawed it creates a black market in that product or service. Those people who supply that product or service become rich enough to be able to corrupt Law enforcement and government. Those people who supply that product or service support the continued prohibition of those products or services so they can continue to make money from the uncontrolled sales. To that end they become the biggest supporters of Right Wing Law and order politicians who then can't prosecute them for fear of exposure of where their campaign funds came from.
The one thing they don't talk about anywhere (at least in government circles) is why pot is illegal in the first place. The main reason it is illegal is because back in the 30's William Randolph Hearst owned a lot of newspapers and owned the paper mills that printed the paper. Hemp (which of course is not exactly the same thing as marijuana but is commonly associated and lumped together with it) was competing with his paper production so he rallied his friends in power (government) and finally made it illegal in 1937. I don't think a lot of people know this. The interesting part is that when the case was originally brought before congress the prosecutor (Anslinger) claimed that it caused violence, attacks, delerium, death and was only used by poor black people (jazz musicians I believe). When the topic came back up in the 50's the same guy (Anslinger) told congress a totally different story. Now his tale said that it should be illegal because it caused mellowness and apathy. He said the communists would try to use it against our youth in a bid to corrupt America.

Actually it's between you and the law . if you want to smoke it
take action to talk to your congressman or senator or lawyer to work to having the law changed but until then it is still illegal .
Also smoke damages your lungs whether it can harm you otherwise or not there is cumulative damage done to your
lung and that can eventually become life threatening .
Maybe they need to develop a marihauna pill to circumvent lung damage by users under medical advise .
people are concerned about weed not god he doesn't need it.

Personally I don't consider marijuana a drug anyway since its grown natural just like tobacco. And God put everything on the earth to use in one way or another. Even though I don't smoke it, I don't think there is anything wrong with it since God made it.

I think that come under the belief that God gave you your body and your life with the purpose of loving Him and being an examples of His love to others.
In order to do that, we are called to care for the vessel(our body) that He has given us. I don't think weed or any other type of drug or other vice such as overeating, etc. would really allow us to honor the body he has given us.
So that is my 2 cents. We were bought for a price and our body does not belong to us, it belongs to God so we should take care of it.
Now did I just eat 2 Ding Dongs for dinner? Yes. I'm not about to cast the first stone!

Well, the local police have an interest in your smoking weed. Since it's illegal God does not want you to do it - we are to follow the laws of the land.
If it was legal, I think God would be OK with it as long as you did not get stoned. Same as where the Bible says it's OK to drink but not to get drunk.

God doesn't hate weed anymore than He does cigarettes, booze or any other thing we put in our body. He's not going to love you less because you smoke a little weed.

When it comes down to it....it is only between you and God....what anyone says isn't going to matter. But the bible says that Jesus drank wine. But he didn't become drunk. We aren't suppose to become drunk . Why would he want us to do drugs? I mean when we are drunk our mind becomes totally blinded and disoriented...drugs and weed does the same my friend. But none of our opinions matter...only God's word. This is something you should pray about brother. Don't seek our counsel.
