If you have a "whitebox" computer, you'll have to open the case and look for the model # silk-screened on the board. Then you'll have to go to the motherboard manufacturer's website to download any drivers for devices that have a bang in device manager. (The devices windows couldn't find a driver for). You can also go to www.motherboards.org for tools to help you identify your board - typically done by reading and decoding the BIOS id string that is displayed during post.

-best luck

what kind of computer do you have. Is it a PC you purchased like Dell or HP or something like that? Or is your computer custom built? It probably says somewhere on the outside case of your computer what model it is. Also, you can right click "my computer" and that will tell you a little bit about your computer.
