I own a Sony DCR-TRV280 and shooting at night always turns out WAY to dark. Are there any lenses/accessories that i can buy to help this?

Not really. While a battery powered light can help, no cameras are made to record in the dark of night. This is because whenever the camera picks up light it comes in very small amounts. This makes the image look darker. In fact in a lot of TV and movies they actually film the night scenes during the day. They simply use filters to make it appear darker. In reality just like a camera without a flash, without much light the image will always be dark.

Some cameras have a nightshot which is a little switch which adds a filter that enhances nighttime imaging. If you don't have one, try getting a light source which spreads the light out and carry it around.

A light or a new more sensitive camera. Sorry about that.
