Depends. We certainly got here by some mircal of life and something had to happen to create the universe, but there are billions of us now and even more dead. It would take a lot of time to plan out a our lives and meetings and interaction with other people. The being that created us would either be really fast or there would have to be a diference in the movement of time to allow for so much time. It could be just that we have our own free will and different beings that are more powerful than us try to influence us with a minor nudge here and there.

Some people will say that the purpose of life is "to reproduce" or "to survive" or something of that nature. But that is not purpose anymore than eating is a purpose. Purpose comes from a design or intelligent plan.

“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell (noted mathematician, philosopher and atheist)

I have heard many, many people say something like, "my purpose is to make a difference in the world" or "we were meant to help others", etc. All of those type of statements imply a Designer/Creator and it is logically inconsistent to make those kind of statements and at the same time to deny there is a God.

The beginning and end was already decided when I got here. I believe my purpose is to live and to serve. Anything in between is a gift. We are human and we all fall short so yes we do follow our egos on occasion. We are allowed so much rope before we get reeled in. In every situation there is a lesson or a blessing.

I look like at life as a series of lessons we are meant to learn. It may take us several tries, and with the risk of sounding corny and cliche, Ill say that I believe things do happen for a reason. Kinda like facing your fears....you gotta hit them straight on or else they will continue to control you. You have to figure out the lesson you can learn from every situation, good or bad, otherwise the same situations will occur. Purposed, I say.

The purpuse of life is to reproduce, and adapt to our enviornment.
Human Life has purpose and meaning based on what our experience has been or taught us.

I am a believer in reincarnation. We choose a theme before we come here. We come to educate our souls.
