dear wiccan rider: I have no idea - I just think that it's totally beautiful when the sky is such a deep blue and the moon is perfectly round and bright....*sigh* :)

It looks really weird in my neck of the woods (WI). It is hazy out and it has three halos around it. I don't buy into the lunatic craze.

I should do a ritual, but think I will pass tonight, yes it is very pretty. there is something about the full moon that does bring out the crazies and the negative side in people. any policeman will tell you crime is higher on the full moon. I have had to deal with a very hateful person tonight claiming to be Christian. She was upset because I had a different view than she did. she sent at least 20. I did not read a one and just kept telling he I wished her well. I guess the full moon effected her.
I love the full moon and never could figure out why it brings out the negative side in some people. Do you know?

the full moon is beautiful to look at and even now sad at times, as a Christian I give it no extra meaning in my life now, putting it at one of God's beautiful night sky, but I have to agree with "wiccan rider" that it is a bad night for crime and hate among the world, I remember when I was a teen an in the world he is now, I wrote many poems to the full moon and its eerie night.
but that was a another life ago and all things are made new in my life and I can enjoy the full moon now for my own heart and it has no eeriness for me anymore

It's Esbat tonight. Too bad I'm missing it. I always have fun at those things. The little pagan boys that run around at the community circle are yummy.

Dancing in the moonlight and connecting with the Goddess. But I usually go out with my telescope and I tell her how beautiful it is!
Thank Goddess that it is warm enough so that all the naked dancers won't freeze.

It means sit out on the creek bank and listen to the dogs run. Have a nip or two from the bottle and swap lies with your best friend.

Is the moon out tonight?
I don't care if it's cloudy or bright,
cause I only have eyes for you!

It means I'll drink tea, smoke cigarettes, and listen to the Cramps while sitting on the back (southward-facing) porch.

Must be nice...Here in Florida,we do not have a moon...the sun blocks it out 24 hours a day all year long...Some tropical paradise...nope..just hot and muggy....Of course I sweat in a snow storm.
