You require a step down transformer which converts the mains voltage of your country( in your case 220 volts) to the voltage of the equipment you want to use which is 110 volts.
Make sure the step down transformer you buy has a max. wattage higher than the total max watts on the back of your equipment. For example, if the total max. is 100 watts on the back of the equipment you would get a transformer that has 200 watts max.printed on it.
This is exactly what i had to buy when i bought a piece of equipment on eBay . It was 110 volts also so i had to buy the step down transformer that you need. You can buy these on eBay also at prices that are cheaper than retail stores. Hope this helps.

Some that are made for international sale will have a switch in the back near the power cord that has a 220 volt and a 110 volt position. Check the instructions, unplug the set, and then slide the switch to the correct side for the incoming voltage.

An alternative is to get a 110/ 220 volt transformer that is often sold for converting appliances that are being exported so that they will work on the voltage found in a different country. Get one with enough wattage to match the nameplate wattage of the stereo.
