I lie often, just about the slightest thing and I think it's no big deal but to him it's bothersome. I don't think it's lying, it's just "withholding the truth." He'll get upset if I don't tell him who i'm hanging out with before i hang out with that person. I try to be honest, but I know he doesn't trust me completely. We've been together almost 4 years and I don't want to lose him.

But how can I get someone to trust me when they think I've lying most of the time? I have been trying tell the truth and all the times I do it's always looked past and the one lie I tell is the always the main focus. It's like i take one step forward and two steps back everytime.

I'm sure your boyfriend loves and trusts you, nobody likes being lied to or having the truth kept from them especially if its by someone they love. He probably just wants to be part of your life so badly that it hurts him thinking of what you may or may not be doing, if the two of you really love eachother the truth isnt going to change anything but a lie or hiding things only makes the person thinks whatelse is there I dont know about.

You answered your own question. It doesn't matter what you lie about. Your boyfriend sees that you lie and try to hide things and he naturally assumes you might be cheating. Start being open and honest with him. Stop "witholding the truth". There's no need to filter everything before you say it. Once he starts trusting you, he won't be possessive anymore.

This dude is kinda cynical. My advice: just keep telling the truth. Apparently he has never heard of a white lie, but just be completely honest and see how he likes it, & if it makes your sitch any better. You know what they say: The truth will set you free!

Why will have to he believe you while you do not believe him? It's a 2-manner avenue, my pal. Confess to him that you realize what you probably did used to be mistaken and you're sorry. Tell him that you simply particularly do love him and do not wish to lose him, and that you simply wish the 2 of you to paintings in combination to rebuild that believe. It will also be performed if you're each inclined to paintings on it. Good success.

You are not trustworthy. Why should he trust you? Truth has little meaning to you. Don't you think he would be foolish to trust you? He has already given you more of his life then I would have.

just tell the truth! as a boyfriend myself, i like to know who my girlfriend hangs out with!!! if she hangs out with someone i think to be dangerous... ill obviously let her know (that was just an example) just tell him!!! why is it so hard to say??? hes jsut worrying for your saftey or something else, depending on the situation

be honest, dont lie even about insignificant things, let him know he's always in ur mind, keep him updated on things u do, just so that he feels part of your activities that may not include him.

wow, hes a little nosy isnt he? well, from now on just tell him the truth about everything and make sure not to pause a couple seconds before telling him whatever he wants to know tell him straight and fast. therefore giving him no reason to be suspicious.
