apply aveda confixor product after showering. comb your hair, then apply aveda elements product. then, blow-dry your hair using a large flatbrush. do not blow dry without the brush, as it will increase frizziness make your hair "poof". after blowdrying, apply more aveda elements product, especially at the tips of your hair. next, straighten in layers, preferably with a good flat iron. try to only go over sections once, even if it means going slowly. this process doesn't take too long, and drying your hair the right way will save you a lot of time with the flat iron. also, these Aveda products will protect your hair from the flat iron's heat and prevent breakage.

i have a CHI flat iron and my hair is very long, thick, and natural curly and the CHI makes my hair so straight it is THE BEST flat iron to use. if you want straight sleek hair you need to get a CHI good luck. the CHI also has a 2' flat iron for long curly thick hair and it is great too but i have the 1' and it's great as well. go to www.ebay.com and look at em. they are expensive i paid 100.00 for mine but on ebay they are cheap. good luck.

use some good streightning spray thats really natural and just streighten the hair by small sections which at the end should come out to much less time working with your hair creating a beautiful streight hair. if you want to keep your hair streight for a longer period of time sense you do have strong curles i would use some streightening mousse or hairspray to finish it of.

yess! i have the same problem...try taking a shower at night then sleeping on it wet without a ponytail, it will be dry in the morning then separate it and straiten each piece separately. if you don't already have a chi, it sounds like you need one. and so you dont have to do it everyday when you take a shower, dont get it wet every other day and redo it so it will only take half the time.hope this helps!
try john Frieda brilliant brunette straitening cream and put that in your hair when it is still wet, it will make it smoother
