Why are so many of my dreams taking place in the house I grew up in?

they can be positive, negative, sexual, flying, ect...my mom says the same thing happens to her

I would imagine the brain stimuli is making associations. Being back in your old growth (home). I would also guess that you are going through a time of reconciliation with yourself and self doubt. Certain places can reflect places that you are most comfortable with and experiences which are most familiar with. For instance, I live in Las Vegas, but my dreams take place in the south. I lived in the south for 12 years and I love it there. But when I have a dream where the setting take place down south, the dream comes to pass here in Las Vegas.
