I have a mac and I am downloading a .rar file, will it work for it? Do rar files work with mac? thanks

I like WinRAR but as the name applies, it is native to Windows. My favorite Mac Extraction utility is StuffIt Expander. Its free and robust.

.rar extension is for winrar. There is a version for the mac, though it appears to be command line only

I doubt it, because the program is used to open them is called WinRAR to win meaning Windows. Wait never mind look http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm there's an option for Mac.
