Earrings would be all right. You just would have to keep them clean, make sure that that the earrings are smaller (so she cant mess with them as much), and the screw-on kind (so she cant pull them out, obviously). I have a 2.5 year old daughter, and I wanted to get her ears pierced just after she was born. Unfortunately I never did. I really want to, but I'm afraid of her pulling them out or them getting infected. My mom got my ears and my sisters ears pierced when we were just a month or two old. I think thats probably the best time, the younger the better... until they can accurately grab at their ears. Then you've got to watch them like hawks to make sure they dont mess with their ears. As far as them *wanting* to get their ears pierced... well, I rarely wear earrings, but I'm glad that my ears are pierced when I want to wear earrings. I dont remember the pain, and I'm not upset it was done even though I didnt have a say in it. It's not like its some freakish thing or noticable, or bothersome. I honestly see no real downsides to piercing a very young childs ears (save for some short-lived pain).

I personally think you should either have them done really young or when they get older and ask but now your in a in between stage where if her ears bother her she is just going to pull the ear rings out and it will have been for nothing. At this point just waite till she is 5 or 6 and wants to get them done. It will be easier on you in the long run. ~~ Best of luck!

I had my daughters done when she was 9 weeks and she has never had a problem. In have a friend who had her 3 year old's done and she did nothing but play with them 'til one was infected and the other came out. So I don't know if I would have them done at an age when they can play with them.
My best suggestion is to go somewhere where they will do both ears at once so you don't have to traumatize the child and risk them refusing to have the 2nd one done.

I got my daughter's done at 6 months, and I'm happy I did. My doctor told me I should wait until at least 4 months, so I think a 2 year old is fine, just make sure to keep them clean, because 2 year olds are good at finding ways to get dirty :)

In Mexico they pierce girls' ears at 6 months to a year. Hell, 2 years is fine, she won't even remember the pain was she's older.

Just do it and get it over with. My daughter got her ears pierced at 2 months and now I am so glad that it's over and done with. She loves wearing cute earrings and doesn't even remember the day she got them pierced much less the pain.

yes the younger the better as long as the earrings are studs so they will not pull them out. It is easier to calm a crying 2 yr than if they are older.

I would say to wait now. Usually parents get the children's ears done really early on, so they won't bother them and the child won't pull on them or anything. She's at the age where if they bother her, she may try to take them out and that's not good. So yeah, just wait on it.

I dont see any problems with it. I got my daughters ears done at 6 months. No problems what so ever, as long as you keep them clean.
