i am about 5'7 and 140 pounds, i know i'm not fat, but my legs are pretty big and my hips and stomach. not like huge to where i look gross, but i NEED to lose the weight around my midsection. so school starts august 23. i'm planning on running on my treadmill 45 mins everyday, maybe skipping a day here and there. i'm not going on a DIET DIET, i'll just watch what i eat, no candy, chips, ice cream, cookies, stuff like that. so could i lose 10 pounds and tighten things up in a little less than 2 months?

oh, i'm 16 yrs old

absolutely. you are within a healthy weight range for your height.

Do everything you just mentioned along with crunches (full body crunches to tone the midsection......lie flat on your back and lift your upper body and legs at the same time to create a V, then lower)

also, incorporate 3 servings of fat free fruit yogurt into your diet a day. It aids in proper digestion and also has been known to shrink the waistline

good luck and have a good year

It seems like you are concerned about trimming up those legs, hips, and buns. If so, you can follow a Pilates excersise regiment that shapes and tones your thighs, hips, and buns (a good VCR video I would recommend would be '10 minute solutions: Pilates workouts). You should get results in about a week if you diligentlly stick with the program (only 10 minutes a day!). Your legs will be more toned and defined, while your buns will be flatter, and your hips will be more attractive.

If you want to lose some weight, good job on putting yourself on healthy meals. Be sure to balance all the nutrients that your body needs. And remember, it is common to forget that your body actually needs a certain amount of sugar and fat to keep itself healthy...just don't overdo the fat and sugar.

Eating a healthy diet and following an excersise program should get healthy results in a couple weeks. Since school starts in August, you've got a month to get youself lookin' ,ore attractive and skinnier.

Good luck! You're well on your way to losing weight and taking steps towards good health to keep that lost weight OFF!

You should be able to loose weight with that program. Do some squats and lunges, also some leg lifts and crunches everyday, they will also help tone things up. Start with 10 to 15 a day for about 5 days and add on 5 to 10 each every 5 days until you are doing about 50 a day

Finally! Somebody that isn't deluded!

Yes, you can lose 10 pounds in 2 months if you eat properly and exercise. I would suggest exercising for 1 hour a day, 6 days a week and on the 7th day doing some mild cardio like walking.

I would also suggest a slight reduction in what you eat, not much but cutting around 500 calories a day is a good start and will help in your wieght loss goals.

Remember proper diet is good, exercise is good but put them together and you've got a great combination.

It would be very good for you to start on the treadmill everyday, but i would start out slow. My husabnd lost 130 lbs and is healthier now than ever. he was over weight for most of his teen years. he is now 36 and looks and feels younger than he did then.
Good luck and eat healthy too, that really is the only safe fix, excercise and eat healty!
I think you could lose 10 if you do this.
Go for it!

I think you will be able to achieve your goal. You might even lose more than your goal. Don't try to lose more than 2-3 pounds a week because that is dangerous for the body. I hope I helped!! Good luck!!!

2-3 pounds a week is the limit (meaning you should not try and lose anymore)

So yeah 10 pounds should definately be achievable

your body only starts burning from fat after exercising for 20 minutes, so if you want to lose weight really focus on working your muscles after 20 minutes passes.
