Alli claims that you can lose 50%more weight with it than by yourself by blocking 25% of fat you ingest. Even though Xenical is twice the mg it only blocks 33% of the fat you ingest. What does that equal out to be for extra weight loss?
I came up with about an extra 66% but I was just wondering if anyone has had experience with it or talked to their dr. about it. I go see mine on Thursday and am curious about which would be better (i.e. if Xenical is worth the extra $) Please no advice on how I should go it au natural and do it on my own. My husband and I want to start a family asap and I think this would help me get down to a healthy weight before we start trying.

Alli blocks Omega 3 Fatty Acids and the intake of Vitamin D. Vitamin D defficiency is a leading cause of mental illness in adults. The weight you lose (only 1 lb a month) is really nothing compared to the decline of your health. But hey, if loose, wet, runny, smelly stools and the inability to control your farts seems like a fun time to you, go for it!

I took Zenical back when it first came out. I lost 100 pounds in 9 months. I called it my babysitter. YOU HAVE TO WATCH WHAT YOU EAT!!! No french fries, no cheese, no ice cream, mayonaise or butter, EVER. I kept my fat content at 25% EVERY item I ate, not for the day. You will be fine. It is worth it! I wore a panty liner, had occasional orange leakage but not enough to be a mess. Now had I eaten a high fat content food then yes, 33% of that fat would have leaked out, thats why you control each meal. If you think 30% fat for your day and one of those meals be 90% fat you will have problems. That meal will leak! I just ate the same thing everyday for 9 months... then I strayed, fried potatoes... I never got back on track. Now I have gained all that back PLUS, I am researching to start again. I've taken Topiramate as well. Ive lost some without gaining it back but the mental side effects are hard to handle, dizzy, spinny, tingly hands and feet... still don't know the long term effects these drugs will have on my body, but I understand despiration. Good Luck in your journey!!! Have a doctor monitor your progress and side effects. Zenical is a GREAT product if used correctly. Just remember it is a tool, not a cure. It was my babysitter. I knew if I took that pill just before eating or while I was cooking I had to behave for that meal, or else taco grease was gonna ooze out of me! It worked! I behaved ;)

SERIOUSLY do not use them!!!!!!!!!! Everyone has really bad bowel problems. You will have very, very, orangish oily discharge coming from both areas, if you get what I am saying. You will SPEW oily stuff because you will have bad gas all the time and will get no relief. Simple things like leaning over or sneezing will cause accidents, and I'm not kidding. I know at least a minimum of ten people who took Alli and all had the same problems. It is a very, very, very bad product. No fat blocking product works without this horrible and nasty side effect. You will not be able to start a family because your southern regions will be covered in oily discharge that is completely uncontrollable and you will STINK. Don't do it.
