Personally I would go for a Toyota or Nissan. They do make full size trucks. They are very durable, long lasting, and have great resale value. And I understand that they are made in America. If it has to be American then I would go with Dodge. The Ram is a well built solid truck. I know several people who own full size Rams and they have had no problems at all. Fords are known to have alot of suspension and engine problems. Chevy and GMC are the same truck and it seems like there are recalls for one thing or another every week. I know 2 people who own them and they both have had there engines replaced twice. Only got about 25000 miles out of the engine. The Ford I used to own had constant problems with suspension, ignition, ujoints, and a blown rear end. I never worked it at all. Hope this helped a little.

i like the dodge rams pretty well ,and Chevy has a good line up of trucks now,but me and fords never did get along real good, i can get in one to test drive it and it will break down,a good Chevy i think is the best truck going right now, they also have a real good warranty on them now,and the quality of them is really good, same as the dodge really either one of those would make you a good truck.good luck hope this helps.

I'm sure the answer will vary depending on who answers you but I believe there is a website out there that gives ratings on all types of vehicles (sorry can't remember the name). I do know the report tells you everything about performance, best mileage, crash testing, etc. It's some kind of consumer report for vehicles so maybe you can try googling that.

Ford. I used to build them before I retired. They are good solid trucks, and well built by Americans.
