it all depends on what you consumed and how much. foods that are easily broken down in the stomach will quickly migrate further down the gastrointestinal tract so there would be no negative effect on athletic performance. gastric emptying is significantly delayed when foods and/or meals that are high in fiber or fat are consumed.

egg whites and fruit - wait 30-45 min

meat or poultry and rice - wait 90-120 min

* you can do a Internet search and find the digestion times of the foods that you consume

it takes two hours for the stomach to empty after a full meal. Some metabolize it a bit faster, or a small meal obviously is processed more rapidly, but two hours is a good rule of thumb.

depends on your body, i can after 5mins.

but my regimen is set up where i go on a brisk jog up the road 30mins after breakfast and a good cup of coffee at 7:30am.

then agian at 8pm, after the days over.

they recommend waiting 45mins, as this allows your body to start the digestive process after you have aten. once it has started your safe to run without letting nausea and cramps and all the joy of upset stomach.

itll have to be a play and go attempt, as no body is the same in a retrosense. but they do reccommend 45mins to be safe, 2 hours to be completely sure. or you can be like me and do the evening run well after dinner and forget you even ate =)

best rule of thumb is two hours. I don't know anyone who can follow that rule, for me it is about 1 hour.
